16/11/2017 11:18 | Yes I know they do but not nesacellery for a few days. Don't know if we are in closed period. It was just a suggestion. Seems odd someone would come in with that amount after divi close that's all. | chavitravi2
16/11/2017 11:07 | Directors would declare. In any case could we not be again in closed period? There is the small matter of this updated reserves report. Which if we are lucky could contain some price sensitive information !! As UEN say on their website, with the Co registered in Cyprus etc etc, investors are not bound by the usual rules of the 3% and over notifications. SO in theory anyone can accumulate or sell what ever they wanted and never declare it to the Co. UEN are reliant on the goodwill of such holders to declare their interests. Not going to comment further on the trades but suffice to say I doubt the MM's would accommodate such trades in such an illiquid stock to the average Joe, that includes me, that frequent this board. | wanna brew
16/11/2017 10:36 | I think director buying has to be declared chav? | martyn9
16/11/2017 10:00 | Could it be directors putting their hand in their pockets? | chavitravi2
16/11/2017 09:56 | Bloody hell, those two buys after the bell are 1.2 million in old money. Near £38k worth. I would agree the price may have been knocked down to accommodate someone. But why now after the divi date? | chavitravi2
16/11/2017 08:39 | Indeed Lalria, volume even up to some of the last Jan and March peaks on the buy side. Possibly the buyer is being accommodated at a price it raced through on Tuesday leaving it to complete filling until it is marked back up again? Certainly justified interest again here. The recent RNS and wider info about the divi is possibly getting through at last. Topicel | topicel
16/11/2017 07:01 | 2 large buys after the bell showing on lse | lalria
15/11/2017 20:14 | @topicel thanks, hopefully things are different this time around. A bit of luck with drilling combined with our new-found PR prowess and we should be in a good place. @tone was good to meet you, both you and Andy seemed like down to earth good guys. | cj86
15/11/2017 17:34 | the fact that the price has fallen back even though there have been more buys than sells would indicate the MMs have a large sell order...I would've thought | darren81
15/11/2017 17:20 | I don't think so Darren, just profit takers I would say. | chavitravi2
15/11/2017 16:10 | I guess that would confirm the theory that there is a seller in the background - I just hope they aren't all moped up before I can top up in December :-) | darren81
15/11/2017 15:11 | yep bent imo, nowt changes with this share.Really encourages buying when the share price is not reflecting its true worth. | martyn9
15/11/2017 15:05 | Since the drop there has be approx 25k buys no rise. Crook or what? | chavitravi2
15/11/2017 14:45 | buys outweigh sells so far today and still share price down!! | martyn9
15/11/2017 12:43 | I think someone here (one of the LTH, can't remember who unfortunately) mentioned there was a known seller - not sure if they knew who it was?? Until they clear, it'll be hard to move (and stay) north of the current price, which they are apparently willing to accept. I think the only thing that will push us higher long term now is good drill results, the board really need to sort this out as all drills over the last few years have been a shambles. Will have some further funds available in December so not too cut up about this retreating as will be able to get more shares at that time. | darren81
15/11/2017 10:04 | CJ86 .Good to meet you, Good see you here and of course Good Luck with your investment. | tone the bone1
15/11/2017 09:52 | Yes chav you called that right,mm's don't like to see this up. | martyn9
15/11/2017 09:40 | Won the little bet with myself. Re 67615. | chavitravi2
15/11/2017 08:48 | Well done CJ86. Many, like myself, are not in a position to go to such a meeting (unless the next one is in Haute Garonne!) and feel annoyed that others don't try and attend if near London. I know I would as this has been a significant investment for a long (too) time and I find it mysterious at the best of times! Perhaps you've timed your entry well...but we did all think that about the turnaround this time last year into the infamous January RNS dousing cold water on things. A repeat performance over the same time span might be on the cards though? Let's hope so. Topicel PS - and thanks again Steve73 for all your input on the dollar divi situation here and there! | topicel
15/11/2017 05:04 | Basem - you misunderstand.. BP calculates its dividend as $ but only if you hold the UK listed share does it convert the divi to GBP a few weeks beforehand and pays that. I hold some Chevron shares - they pay divi in $ (obviously) which gets credited to my $ account with my broker. I also have some UK listed I-shares funds that I bought in GBP, and is priced in GBP, but pays its divi in $.. That again accumulates in my $ account. UEN is expected to be similar. If you hold your UEN as paper certs then you will receive a $ cheque - which may be a problem if paying into a UK bank. If you hold via a nominee broker then they will receive a single $ cheque (for their combined holdings), and will distribute it accordingly to their individual holders...but exactly how will depend on the broker. If you hold a $ account with them then it will be deposited there. If they don't offer a $ account, they'll only exchange it after they receive it. Best to contact them and ask what they'll do. HTH. PS.. good RNS & response to it. | steve73
14/11/2017 22:18 | I also attended the meeting Moggy refers to, along with calm and Tony. As a new investor it was more of a learning experience, though I did echo the others' sentiments re PR. Great to see it was taken on board and implemented. The share price reaction speaks for itself. Good work UEN team. | cj86
14/11/2017 18:45 | Great stuff. Ridiculously cheap. | bengal1
14/11/2017 18:27 | Missed the action today - really pleased with the content and style of the RNS. At the investor/management meeting we spent a good amount of time stressing the importance of more detailed relevant content. For example seeing the financial impact of the tanker shipment rather then just issue a number of barrels of oil shipped. We also stressed the importance of the chairman's comment section at the end which I feel helps build a connection between the companies management and (private) investor community. I like the way Andrew used this to explain the reason for the yearly Petraco loan which the average investor didn't realize was to pay MET and export taxes in advance of tanker shipment. Looking forward to continued detailed news releases of this nature and who knows maybe we will even get some positive drilling news come Jan/Feb! | djmoggy
14/11/2017 16:40 | Not a bad day, BUT!! Will the mm's let it be. | chavitravi2 |
