05/12/2017 08:21 | Ok. I assume that the banksters will find a way to control it though, and in turn gain from it and then it will be manipulated as per... Not saying the idea is good, like the internet. But then it turns sour once reigned in for the benefit of the elite. Life's too short anyway, I worry about what I think I understand! Lol. And these days UEN ain't one of them. Topicel | topicel
04/12/2017 19:07 | Thanks Canny. Topicel - blockchain and decentralisation is the future. You don't have any of this 'wait' time for projects using blockchain technology - trades and money transfers (global or local) are more or less immediate (as soon as the transaction is verified by sufficient number of independent verifiers). The various world stock exchanges will need to move with the times or the migration to decentralised global exchanges will be inevitable. Thankfully MM and brokers will be a thing of the past eventually given the whole point of blockchain is to do away with the middle man :-) | djmoggy
04/12/2017 18:21 | Lol Djm, why do you think they keep the proceeds to themselves for so long? They're all at it still, one way or another, just current accounts with paltry interest that has really changed to make people think things are better. Old Mutual sold some ISA dosh for me recently and, as ever, 3-5 days to reach my account. Some rubbish about instructing the fund managers of different units within the ISA. As you say, electronic share deals in the millions in milliseconds when they want... Topicel | topicel
04/12/2017 17:54 | Guys, my divi worked out at 4.47p share just wondering about any comparisons. I'm with iii. Tia | basem1
04/12/2017 17:52 | dmoggy,TD or (II) have the same option. I tried to set it up and was informed that UEN did not qualify for this option. | canny lass
04/12/2017 16:42 | They need to up their game to offer a service that is on par with other brokers. Looks like the 22K buy was cancelled out by the two 10K sells - it does appear that a sellers stock is being drip fed to soak up buys... hopefully will clear soon (prior to drilling news). | djmoggy
04/12/2017 16:14 | Hi DJM, I didn't see that last bit about ten days and I agree with you. Also I noticed that I hadn't updated my new debit card so did so, however I pay into my account from one bank and pay out too another and it wouldn't let me do that as before. It only lets me pay in and out to the same bank account which I don't want. I'm going to have to think about changing taking into account the other things you have mentioned. | chavitravi2
04/12/2017 10:51 | I've always heard good things about Redmayne B - I've just always been too lazy to change.... Halifax service never been bad enough to trigger a transfer of shares... perhaps until now though. Chav - I found the following under "account management" -> "Dividend Option" tab. On that tab you can choice to reinvest automatically, pay-away to your registered bank account, or hold in you share dealing account (for each of your share dealing / ISA accounts) The following statement is also made... Dividends will usually be paid to (share dealing) accounts within ten working days of us receiving the money. Please note: we will receive the money on, or after, the dividend payment date. Why would they need to hold money for up to 10 days in this electronic age - that's just a disgrace... | djmoggy
04/12/2017 10:47 | Some chunky trades recently way way over NMS, would appear a seller matched by a buyer. | wanna brew
04/12/2017 10:02 | Chav the share price rise!! doubt it.I'm with redmayne -bentley stockbrokers shares held in a nominee account, hold my money for a month with no charges but will convert dollars to pounds at no cost either.A reputable company with ease of investing and trading, but each to their own. | martyn9
04/12/2017 09:54 | Hi Chavi - no dividend in my Halifax account yet..... Should really move to a different broker they have a comparatively poor service. They don't allow transfers from share dealing to ISA accounts either - was told just to sell into the market and buy back into ISA :-/ | djmoggy
04/12/2017 09:52 | A positive start but will the share price rise? | chavitravi2
04/12/2017 09:49 | Still no movement up | lalria
04/12/2017 08:28 | Wanna - we never had any leap in a day mate. We had an orderly market, steady increases on the building price of oil futures and what OPEC would do regarding production cuts. All normal market action and we issued a 'see no reason' RNS which was not worded positively like the PYC one I showed was after moving 2p to 30p. I can assure you if UEN had have had that rise, or even a quarter of it, over 24-48 hrs then we would not be talking here. I'd be long gone! Topicel | topicel
02/12/2017 18:43 | Canny was an isa transfer I'm sure. | gregpeck7
02/12/2017 13:53 | Hi Top. You mentioned PYC. How about TYM yesterday 300 m odd Traded 200% increase in Sp and at the Bell, a no reason known RNS. Guess there are few nervous folks around this weekend waiting to see how the mm's play this on Monday. Perhaps UEN's no reason known intervention was not that bad after all. | wanna brew
02/12/2017 12:00 | Canny That or a possible bed and ISA. | wanna brew
02/12/2017 10:30 | DJM, I'm with Halifax on line. Not got mine yet. | chavitravi2
01/12/2017 21:14 | Wanna BrewThe timings and share price for each suggests to me a 'rollover' at the low end. Sold 30K @ 60p and Buy 30K @ 60.5p. MM's pick up £150. | canny lass
01/12/2017 20:36 | Hells bells blue!! Have Allenby sent an sos out to any ship in a storm!! | martyn9
01/12/2017 20:02 | 2 x 30000 trades 1.2m in old money | wanna brew
01/12/2017 18:09 | Would be interested to know if anyone with a Halifax Share Dealing Account has received their dividend yet... | djmoggy
01/12/2017 17:32 | Darren,Got my 'Div' in 'TD' or 'II' as you rightly state. I wasn't expecting to receive it quite so quickly. | canny lass
01/12/2017 17:25 | Late 3k buy @ 64p 16.40 time. Surprised that 30k sell didn't hammer it down and they paid whoever 60p. | chavitravi2
01/12/2017 17:12 | Heh Darren, what rate per share in pence did you achieve ? TIA. | basem1 |
