Potentially it could have a license to develop an area which from which current indications exceed expectations. Presumably we will know more detail at the end of November

Michael,
What has it got “potentially” wise that significantly undervalues 14p as a take out price?
Not a lot from what I can see

No sign of the shorters. They have done their job. Unfortunately nothing is going to change. Feel sorry for people who were sold a dream actually a nightmare. Good luck for the future.

The desperation to prop up the price with a no-news RNS of filler and bravado about 'the potential' seems designed to try and retain as much of last week's share price rise as possible. Some might go as far as saying such posturing only adds to the suspicion over their involvement in the fake bid.

Potential not actual.

The rejection of the 14p is clearly covered today

Bolhassan Di, Upland Chairman and CEO commented:

"The Company's full focus is on the SK334 PSC and developing the asset. The Upland team have spent many years working to progress Block SK334 in Sarawak and to countenance any premature, preliminary offers is not part of this particular Company's strategy. Upland Resources as an entity is fully committed to unlocking the full value potential of something we consider to be unique amongst the world's remaining high potential lower risk oil and gas exploration plays.

What gets me is the bod said:

“The Board has unequivocally rejected the approach as it believes it significantly undervalues the current potential of the Company”

How can that be when the share price was just around 3p prior to the rns
What has this company got that is worth significantly in excess of 14p value wise?
I don’t hold
Just an observer

Certain people have deleted a lot of upland related messages on social media. But those should be warned, the relevant media companies will still hold ALL deleted public and private messages, and a 'data dump' can be done if requested which will unearth all that has been deleted.Going quiet and deleting your stuff will not save those responsible.

Thank you Upland board for confirming that what I said last night (copied below) about the FCA is correct!.....FCA won't be investigating UPL, as UPL did precisely what they are required to do when they are advised of a potential bid, they notified the market and invoked Rule 26a to force the bidder to put up or shut up.If the FCA investigate anything, it will be those telling UPL they are interested in buying the company for 14p per share and claiming that they were associated with Mr Bollinger when they are not, which is false representation. The best thing about the bid fiasco is it alerted many to a stock that the board believe is going to be worth far more than 14p per share, and we got in well below that, so plenty of upside to look forward to as business progresses."the company described Block SK334 (which hosts Sarawak) as containing similar resources to those found in the neighbouring billion-barrel Seria field and said it is equivalent in scale to some of Europe's largest offshore Oil & Gas fields."I'll be keeping my UPL stock for that, meanwhile the shorting lowlife will take their profit on the drop Monday and wander off to attack their next stock, leaving this one to a more natural rise as that oil gets closer and closer.Follow whichever crowd you want makes no odds to me, I will follow the company prospects, as that is where the real money is to be made.

You mean the fake sheik. And all the pumpers (same people as usual) were pushing the billionaire sheik story, pretty similar to pushing the billionaire bollinger story here. One day the authorities WILL catch up with these people.

I am and have been for some time long on this, the last weeks activities was quite bizarre, I still look at the statement that the board initially thought 14pps undervalued the company - whether you have any faith or trust in the board or the long term outlook for the company is a matter of personal opinion and your on due diligence before investment. I will be holding on to mine as I still believe this will ultimately come right.
The shorters today will make money, a lot who bought in on last weeks debacle will have lost (but that was a get rich quick gamble), long term though I believe we are still heading in the right direction.

Good luck all long term holders.

Bit of a pathetic attempt to prop up the share price by UPL today. Given what has occurred I can't see the take over panel will be furious and will do all they can to ensure UPL does not continue as a public company. I'm sure a lot of the other regulators have been pulled in now to make sure UPL can't raise any more money and given there total lack of any substantial funds they'll just die a slow death.

Insiders probably not totally sold out so they will be looking to sell remaining shares for what they can get. Share price still 10x from lows.

PWhite is donk - please ignore his posts if you want to stay solvent.

For me there were a few red flags
1) the 14p price was no where near the current price... never seen such a high premium in 20 years in the market. 2) prices are never usually mentioned in these releases until bid confirmed.

You think someone rang up and said I might pay 14p? Wouldn't happen. They would engage with the board first without mentioning any price.
