Most positive statement that I've seen from management since I became a shareholder a couple of years ago. Given the defensive qualities of this stock and the fact that the euro is recovering against sterling makes me think that we could have a good run up to Xmas here.

Bit of a rabbit in the headlights this morning, but bought more ULVR at 2572 for what its worth.

That surely could be said of multiple UKX stocks, RB., SN, SAB, DGE, BATS, IMT ..
plenty in the MCX as well, HLMA as just one example.

ULVR is not cheap imv, posted that elsewhere this morning.
It is a quality company.

I hold far more DGE than ULVR.

ULVR could have been bought back in 2010 when it was on a more sensible earnings ratio and dividend yield.

One could strongly argue and pretty much be entirely correct in saying the 5 year entire rise of ULVR has been 100% sentiment driven.

Yes often tend to go against the grain, not the easiest to do sometimes,
far easier to buy when everyone is excited and is buying.

Was touch and go for me whether to add ULVR or DGE...been a tough week for the markets and I'm not sure the drop's done yet. I tend only to buy when markets are in the doldrums, drip feeding small amounts daily, seems you adopt a similar style...?

They got downgraded by Goldman Sachs to sell from neutral

Target price reduced to 2560p from 2820p also worried about future growth as Europe food sales struggle
and the impact on emerging markets from recent market turbulence may impact the performance there as that accounts for about 60% of their business.

As per a few other stocks picked up some ULVR recently and added on the Greek-related dips, most recent a few days ago @2749p.
