31/1/2019 10:43 | Sold at 8.02 on the lower 2019 guidance, just started adding some back. Q4 also looks weaker than anticipated. Think they will do well to hit the 2020 margin target, otherwise looks ok'ish | ![]() essentialinvestor

30/1/2019 15:06 | EI - "GBP potential strength is the main headwind, not a given though." Definately not a 'given' in my opinion. Most of my life I've seen the pound weaken whenever there has been tensions around thwe world. Seems to me that such 'tensions' and 'conflicts' are increasing so I expect more volatility and the pound will suffer before the other major currencies. There will be periods of GBP strength 'tho but they won't last long haha. | ![]() losos
29/1/2019 13:43 | Good call EI..I wanted some confirmation of a change in direction on the FTSE 100. Could be a deadcat bounce but having bucked the trend this past quarter I wanted some index trackers. Namely this, AZN and RDSB. | ![]() stewart64
29/1/2019 12:05 | I doubled my holding yesterday. GBP potential strength is the main headwind, not a given though. | ![]() essentialinvestor
29/1/2019 12:02 | First time addition at 4.12. I'm guessing Brexit might be more difficult than currently factored. The downside on domestic shares is probably bigger than the likes of Unilever on a rising pound imo. Might be wrong. | ![]() stewart64
28/1/2019 12:38 | Potential for a significantly higher level of GBP re EURO/USD on any Brexit resolution, is the main short term headwind. Leaving aside wider stock market levels. | ![]() essentialinvestor
21/1/2019 07:44 | Do you work for them mark ? | ![]() magli
19/1/2019 01:26 | Started buying in 1987 Still buying in 2019 | ![]() marksp2011
17/1/2019 14:26 | I'm attempting to balance some UK domestic exposure with overseas earners atm, as petty much convinced we will have a Brexit agreement, even if it entails an initial no deal, which would likely prove very transitory imv. | ![]() essentialinvestor
17/1/2019 09:21 | EI, This is a long term hold for me (5-10 years). Any significant weakness and I'd look to add. A historic yield of 3.4% is attractive, given that they increased it by around 8% for the last few decades. | jimbowen30
16/1/2019 22:38 | I sold my KHC around $76, and watched them zoom up to over $96. Now trading a bit over $46, £40 on ULVR is reasonable provided no significant negative arises. The large overseas earners may take a sizeable (short term) hit on any Brexit resolution. Stronger GBP. | ![]() essentialinvestor
16/1/2019 22:08 | EI > Kind of under the price Buffet was willing to pay 2 years ago and since then Unilever's dumped slow growing spreads an, got a few higher growth areas and got leaner. Good call. Magli | ![]() magli
16/1/2019 10:24 | Added a chunk under £40. | ![]() essentialinvestor
29/12/2018 12:46 | What's the current dividend ? | ![]() rbcrbc
27/12/2018 17:52 | Added a few. Think Polman did a great job during his tenure. How many CEO's really add value?, He resoundingly did. | ![]() essentialinvestor
04/12/2018 17:55 | I sold out my Glaxo holding yesterday as I had made a reasonable profit since the beginning of the year and most of the pundits seemed disappointed with the price that they had received for Horlicks. If the foregoing is correct Unilever, which I continue to hold, should have benefited from the deal. That all said, you would be pushed to draw that conclusion from the RNS that has been issued by the Company. Earnings accretion should lead to better earnings and may be even better dividends. Add this to the Polman exit and perhaps we might start to inch closer to £45. | ![]() ygor705
29/11/2018 07:10 | Wow what an RNS. Polman appears to have been the Messiah rather than an arrogant man who failed to carry his own shareholders on important decisions. he is certainly a king of executive pay and a man who only started doing his job when Kraft heinz came knocking | ![]() marksp2011
31/10/2018 08:29 | The share price here has developed a much stronger feel since the collapse of the Netherland's migration plan. Says it all really and am anticipating a continuation of this trend as the year progresses. | ![]() ygor705
19/10/2018 12:08 | Completely agree, this is now a sitting target. 50 quid plus. | ![]() spoole5
18/10/2018 13:48 | Solid update but probably not enough to save the reputations of the Chairman and Chief Executive. Still anticipating M & A activity here once the BREXIT fiasco resolves itself in one way or another. | ![]() ygor705
18/10/2018 12:51 | I added on the dip, looked a solid update to me, sell off for no reason. | ![]() essentialinvestor |
