18/12/2016 10:27 | God I do hope this will be a good Christmas present/New Year present. Seemed to have waiting ages for this, but yet it is still under a year. With all the research and good predictions for RECOVERABLE OIL from NUTECH one wonders what can go wrong-----lots many will say, but I remain a cup half full guy!! Good Luck all. Just preparing a lovely Roast dinner for our son and lovely granddaughter, coming down for their early Xmas Lunch and a nice bottle of Rioja!! | ![]() mikeygit

18/12/2016 07:05 | News imminent. gla ;-) Angus Energy the operator could be looking at a time frame of only around 3-5 day drill with the well already cased, the first target zone being so shallow. We are hearing new concrete foundations have been poured so it is looking more likely a new foundation/pad is being used for the drill rig on site. | ![]() moneymunch

17/12/2016 07:14 | Sooner rather than later hor permit approval for HH's EWT's, January more than likely imho, although dependent on whether or not an EIA is required, which i reckon will not be requested judging by the original drilling application and approval in 2011 and the subsequent drilling history at HH, as HH does not lie in a designated conservation area. gl ;-) 9th Nov 2011 "The proposed hydrocarbon exploration site does not fall within an area, or site, designated for its landscape or nature conservation importance. It is however, located on farmland within a rural area in the Green Belt." Consultees (Statutory and Non - Statutory) Environment Agency No objection subject to two conditions. Health and Safety Executive Does not advise on safety grounds, against the granting of planning permission. Natural England (Soils, Ecology) The proposal does not appear to affect any statutorily protected sites or landscapes, or have significant impacts on the conservation of soils. Thames Water Utilities No objections. 17th Oct 2016 Horse Hill-1 Oil Discovery, Weald Basin, UK Planning Application for Significant Appraisal Programme, UK Weald Basin "The normal local planning authority cycle for an application not requiring an Environmental Impact Assessment such as at Horse Hill, takes approximately 13 weeks." | ![]() moneymunch

16/12/2016 11:09 | IMO--IF this massive oil field does come good and they can produce from a variety of wells it does not matter who you are invested with, you must come out in profit?? Yes ALBA and ANGUS look good at present but once there is positive news for others in the consortium they should likewise rise---it is just that ALBA and ANGUS are flavour of the month at present---all IMO!! | ![]() mikeygit

16/12/2016 06:44 | Hi TU, the Great Oolite limestone lies below the Kimmeridge limestones and the Corillian limestones, the following link on OIP at HH provides a detailed diagram of the geology.....Angus's CEO Paul Vonk made reference to the Great Oolite in a recent interview, but yesterday's RNS confirms their intentions of drilling deeper and testing it......if the naturally fractured Kimmeridge limestones can free flow, then maybe the Corillian and the Great Oolite also....Exciting times. ;-) | ![]() moneymunch

Conventional stuff. 1 reply 2 retweets 1 like David Lenigas @DavidLenigas 1h1 hour ago It's funny to think that people actually believe that there is another bigger rig arriving at Brockham. The rig that is there is "THE" rig. 2 replies 1 retweet 1 like David Lenigas @DavidLenigas 1h1 hour ago To save any confusion - there will NOT be another rig arriving on site at Brockham. 15/12/2016 09:59 | Alba is pleased to announce that it has been advised by the operator, Angus Energy Plc ("Angus"), that work has now commenced at the Brockham Oil Field ("Brockham"), in which Alba is earning a 5 per cent interest. Brockham is located near Gatwick Airport and is only a few miles from Alba's other UK onshore oil and gas interests at Horse Hill. Angus has advised that it has today received the final approvals required from the UK Government Oil and Gas Authority ("OGA") and Health and Safety Executive ("HSE") to commence work on the BR-X4Z well on UK onshore Production Licence PL 235. Consequently, Alba is advised that the rig is now on site and has commenced work, as per the approved programme, to abandon the required redundant wells in the upper Portland formation and re-enter the original Brockham-X1 well drilled by BP in 1987 down through the Portland, Kimmeridge, Corallian and into the much deeper Great Oolite formations. The Company understands that all the original BP wells at Brockham that passed through the Kimmeridge and Corallian formations were drilled without properly assessing their hydrocarbon potential. George Frangeskides, Executive Chairman of Alba, commented: "We are very pleased that Angus have now obtained the required approvals from the UK authorities and have already started on this potentially very significant work at Brockham. Alba looks forward to reporting the results in due course." | ![]() moneymunch |
