14/7/2005 13:07 | I'd like to look a few years into the future and see what sort of an effect these acquisitions will have on UDG. Judging by past performances the future looks rock solid. | liarspoker
10/6/2005 14:19 | Another acquisition...... | liarspoker
23/5/2005 09:16 | ....and back up again !! Bloody MM's, they're making me feel sick with all the to-ing and fro-ing... | liarspoker
19/5/2005 18:10 | Lads - what is happening here then. A sharp downturn just before close ?!?! | liarspoker
16/5/2005 14:40 | Hi and thanks JohnnyAD - just keeping on holding & holding. 8-) | liarspoker
13/5/2005 09:28 | Excellent results, I like the many uses of the word 'significant' Good growth and excellent potential in my view. Good ISA share. If only the mm's would stop mucking about with the share price we'd be even more happy! Cheers and well done Liarspoker. J | johnnyad
13/5/2005 08:09 | OK results, maybe about 2% less then I thought - in the office now so will read them properly tonight. | liarspoker
12/5/2005 12:09 | Go on - break through that 250 mark.... .,. | liarspoker
10/5/2005 21:37 | One of my brokers recommendations which gets published in the local newspaper; UNITED DRUG > > United Drug is the specialist wholesaler of pharmaceutical products in Ireland. It controls 40% of the market in the Republic and 50% in the North. This has provided them with strong cashflow which has allowed them to expand into the U.K.. They have done this through a strategy o> f joint ventures and acquisitions. EU statistics show the spending on drugs in Ireland is well below average. This figure is growing however and coupled with our ageing population Ireland is a very lucrative country for such a business. With an impressive earnings growth track record they look good value at current levels. | liarspoker
09/5/2005 20:39 | Errmmm....maybe UDG should have picked a better day to release it's interims, I mean Friday 13th wouldn't be on top of my list. Very superstitious, Writings on the wall Very superstitious...... Edit: Looks like the price bounced nicely of the 230p support level. | liarspoker
09/5/2005 00:13 | info only www.alliance-unichem this deal could affect united drug bairds is the biggest pharmacy chain here in ni with 50 shops who all deal with united drug for their stock. however new owners have only agreed to stay short term to aug/sept. no one knows what after that but it seems logical unichem could be about to enter the irish market which would be a MAJOR shake up in pharmaceutical wholesaling | bmwilson
08/5/2005 21:49 | Thanks for the new header update. I too am a long term holder and intend to hold for the forseeable future. Dont post very often as results speak for themselves. part of my "no worry" portfolio. | scout2
08/5/2005 15:01 | Header updated. Will include upcoming results when they are released although they should be around the above figures imo. | liarspoker
07/5/2005 23:35 | Upwards and onwards then figis. Will post if I see anything interesting in the papers. I'd say figures won't be too far of the ones in the header, speaking of which - I'd better update it tomorrow. | liarspoker
05/5/2005 20:45 | Interims shoud be out in next two weeks, hopefully this will halt the small downtrend. | figis
05/5/2005 08:00 | Looks like a small downtrend has set in, bound to happen imo. Just remember that this share is a good long-term hold. You probably won't get far trading it. keep it in the bottom of the closet for a few years. ;-) | liarspoker
11/4/2005 15:41 | Still got a smile on my face. 8-) | liarspoker
24/3/2005 17:02 | Looks like the scrips are active from today. We should now see the price back up on its merry way again. 8-) | liarspoker
24/3/2005 17:02 | Looks like the scrips are active from today. We should now see the price back up on its merry way again. 8-) | liarspoker
15/3/2005 08:26 | I keep holdin' on. I keep holdin' on. Holdin' holdin' holdin' ho-oldin' ye-eah 8-) | liarspoker
08/3/2005 21:51 | Starting to look cheap again imo. | liarspoker
04/3/2005 08:12 | Ha ha ha ha The last two trades were of 1 share each !!!! | liarspoker
01/3/2005 20:31 | Hi Johnny - yes I am still here although rather busy hence i am unable to post anywhere on ADVFN too often. This little bit of weakness is a buying opportunity to me. Don't have much time to gather funds but I was thinking of seriously adding around April when I should have access to more funds. Don't worry about this share behaving eratically with Martin retiring and since yesterday's Elan debacle we won't have seen the last of it imo. That said I want to add that price movements with UDG normally don't mean too much. With solid organic growth and more bolt ons the share price is only going one way long term. BTW wasn't it nice to receive those little scrippies, no dealing costs involved there !!! Errr..also lets hope there are no more exceptional items in the B/S this year. 8-) | liarspoker
18/2/2005 15:40 | Liarspoker, you still with us? Weired share this, all sounds good but the movements are eratic to say the least. Can't see any obvious reasons, other than tree shake. Trouble is I keep topping up but she keeps goin down ( I wish ) but you know what I mean. It doesn't appeared to have acted like this before, so I assume perhaps someone wants to cash in their holding. Any views J | johnnyad |
