09/2/2007 17:35 | thanks for your reply and list liars. Will go through them as i get a chance. Saw some comments last night as i got round to reading last sundays business post. Will put details on ang. board later. | culchi
08/2/2007 21:23 | Ha ha I was thinking the same about Kingspan. Great company but too expensive on a P/E level. People give me the strangest look when I say that. they usually reply but it's risen X amount. I reply yep and how much more will it go up from here and if it falls it's a long way down on such a high P/E. Fair value for GNG I think is about 50-60P. Much more if things go well. read the brokers note and admin document in the header and do the calculations. EPS should be around market estimates before the botched flotation !! So things are looking up. Flotation was botched due to the fall in the markets last year. Other cheap shares - SAA, STBR, CFE, FDMG, ITH for starters but please DYOR. :O) Oh IBG is releasing results on Monday - trading way cheaper then other online advertising companies ( been in since 2.9p ). :O) Edit: Irelands investment tax system really, really sucks the Gov't is getting away with murder imo. I have to pay usual salary tax on my share disposals which really sucks. It's my money, my risk....I ain't too happy about it. the only thing I can do is write of as much as I can ( level II, investment magazines etc ). Bah !! | liarspoker
08/2/2007 17:07 | Am i late to put those funds into gng? .Wont get them before late next week. Anything else worth a look at ?. | culchi
08/2/2007 17:03 | no , have tracked kingspan for awhile . Like it a lot , but still too expensive i feel. Still in sola(139) ,chns, (135), mxp(45) bur (271)php(217) and am waiting for payment from emh (173) taken over@470 . With no peps here and poor cgt allowance it doesnt encourage overtrading. | culchi
08/2/2007 15:07 | Thanks culchi - I'd better get onto the company. Nice to see you here - do you own any other Irish stocks ? I'm only in Anglo & UDG, all the rest of my stocks are UK stocks. Anglo & UDG are my very long termers though. | liarspoker
08/2/2007 14:59 | Yes liars i got my hard copy together with my scribs details over a week ago. | culchi

02/2/2007 13:27 | Hi Slasher - sorry but I don't check this thread too often. Nice acquisition today though: UNITED DRUG ACQUIRES UK BASED MEDICAL DISTRIBUTOR FOR UP TO Stg#8.5 MILLION United Drug plc, a leading provider of services to pharmaceutical retailers and healthcare manufacturers in the UK and Ireland today (Friday, 2nd February 2007) announced that it has acquired the entire share capital of Pyramed Limited, a specialist UK based distributor of medical devices and equipment. Pyramed, based at Surbiton in Surrey, employs 22 people and represents a number of international manufacturers in the UK market. The company specialises in the sale and distribution of intraventional cardiology and vascular products, and related medical devices. Pyramed has a well established reputation reflecting its best-in-class clinical and technical knowledge. The senior management of the Company will remain with the business. The consideration for the acquisition is Stg#5.0 million in cash plus Stg#1.0 million in United Drug plc shares, payable on completion, plus an additional consideration of up to Stg#2.5 million payable, based on achievement of agreed profit targets over the next two years. Speaking today, United Drug's Chief Executive, Liam FitzGerald said: "The acquisition of Pyramed is a significant development for our Medical & Scientific Division in the UK market. Pyramed is a high quality service provider in the UK medical market and this business will strengthen our offering in this market, as well as providing us with further opportunities for growth. "The acquisition is further evidence of our ability to bolt on additional high value added business to our existing capabilities in the UK market". Application has been made to the Irish and London Stock Exchanges for the consideration shares to be admitted. | liarspoker
25/1/2007 17:36 | Liars a bit of profit taking today. Where are we goin to do you think? Take a look at CPL ISE:DQ5 which i bought yesterday at 6.40. Up 6% already. U could still trade them. Check out their results on rte business news. | slasher16
24/1/2007 13:13 | Thanks for the note slasher. 20% EPS growth looks good - that's higher then their average of around 15% per annum. I'll keep holding on so. :O) | liarspoker
24/1/2007 13:07 | No I didnt see 3m swap yesterday. Sentiment is clearly changing here though. See Davy note this morning. They are talking about 20% earnings growth due to our unleveraged balance sheet and potential acquisitions. Roll on 5euro a share in 07?! Watch out for CPL Resources. Ive a trade in b4 results next wk. | slasher16
23/1/2007 19:42 | I may go to the AGM Slasher. I'll have to see what else is happening. It'd be so much handier if I lived in Dublin. I'm happier in Cork though. Did you see the 3m swap today ? Could be someone accumulating some stock. There was also a 6.8m swap in Anglo irish today but I think that was or is part of Sean Quinn's transaction. | liarspoker
23/1/2007 19:22 | Ya we are finally being rewarded for our patince with UDG? Very significant was the inclusion of UDG in Merrions 10 stock model last wk instead of C&C. See merrion-capital.com 4.40 is the price target of Goodbodys and davys.I cant seeitgoin further until they revise their targets.Close at 4.16 today.Wat u think liars? Are u goin to AGM? | slasher16
23/1/2007 11:11 | Breakout - I wonder how high this will go ? | liarspoker
02/1/2007 10:11 | Went to Louisburgh in Co. Mayo Cambo. Did Croag Patrick - nearly died on the way up though. Coming down is pretty dangerous too. No views - too cloudy. Bought a nice painting on Achill Island though and went to Ashford Castle ( only for a look ). Off to the accountant soon - back this PM. | liarspoker
02/1/2007 10:05 | Welcome back Liars, Did you have a good time? | cambium
02/1/2007 10:03 | I read in a paper over the weekend that the majority of analysts think that UDG is historically undervalued. I see that the price has broken 270p which has been resistance over the last few years. Just back from hollies so not up to speed on the market but I am content to hold my 'short' term UDG shares for a while longer. My long term shares obviously will stay in. | liarspoker
28/12/2006 22:52 | Nice move on the shares today guys. 4euro now. If they break this barrier i think we will see them hit 4.40 which will put them on a p/e of 22 on this years earnings. I think the market is finally coping on to United. I bought these in Feb 05 at 3.55 on a p/e of 22. I think 4.40 could be realistic. Any views Liarspoker? | slasher16
21/12/2006 08:45 | Somebody bought 6 (six) shares in UDG at 8 am this morning. I assure you it wasn't me topping up. A dawn raid? | what is a login ?
18/12/2006 12:59 | I still look in from time to time, Liars. My shares in UDG (purchased at 254) turned blue this morning :O) | what is a login ?
15/12/2006 16:23 | Nice little rise today. If it breaks 270p I'm holding on cause the breakout should be a good one. Well see what happens at 270p first though. Are you still around login ? Edit: Looks like the Dow is pulling everything up with it. | liarspoker
13/12/2006 10:57 | Well looking at the chart above it seems that we always have a little run up in the new year. Hopefully share price movement will remain the same so I added a few more this morning hoping to sell at about 270p. :O) | liarspoker
12/12/2006 10:48 | We can still buy at the same price as two years ago whilst earnings have been increasing by about 14-15% !! | liarspoker
12/12/2006 08:51 | I am always amazed how sensitive the market is. In effect you buy shares at a discount price for missing out on your first dividend. This one's coming to me in cash.:o) I'll be curious to see how much tax selftrade take off. | what is a login ?
11/12/2006 17:00 | X-divi date has passed login. We'll receive the Srips at then end of February ( 28th from memory but I could be wrong ) around the same time as we should receive the Anglo Scrips. :O) | liarspoker |
