I like this company; clearly they have an impressive product with a great order book, however I'm struggling to put a value on the company. Presumably there are lots of revenues arising going forward but little guidance on when we can expect positive earnings to materialise. I understand they have had to invest fairly heavily to broaden the product offering but I would like to see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Does any body have any recent broker guidance or willing to share their own calculations on the financials ?

Thanks.

D.

Well, that trading update was for the right reasons with the extension of the roll-out impacting this 6 month result. Shame the impact wasn't in the other direction.

City Financial's UK equity manager Leigh Himsworth has topped up his position in Ubisense.

Himsworth, who runs the City Financial UK Select Opportunities fund, bought a further 48,000 shares in the location intelligence technology provider at 212 pence. This brings his fund's total position up to 525,000 shares, equating to an approximate value of £1.1 million.

Himsworth expects the company to experience further growth because of the role it plays in improving workflow at companies. He was also keen to highlight the string of contracts that Ubisense has won more recently, which include BMW, Airbus, Caterpillar and Deutsche Telekom.

'As an investor it is exciting having access to a technological leader with a host of fantastic customer references that is genuinely global in its offer. Who says that the UK doesn't produce anything! This is yet to be fully appreciated by the market,' he added.

Not high volumes but have they looked at tagging forklifts?

There are a lot of accidents and tracking forklift usage, speed and locations could help drive plant efficiency and might cut down on accidents.

UBI might get lucky given others are using Ubisense. Would be interesting to know if the smart warehousing with the Japanese is going OK.

mwaller - My reading of the RNS was that HSBC have increased there overdraft limit. UBI has not used the extra £3m but kept its debt with them at the original £2m.
If anything this was a positive RNS with HSBC seeming to endorse UBI as the CFO later part of the RNS

They raised £5m debt from HSBC today. Looks like they were running out of cash and just avoided an emergency rights issue by the skin of there teeth, or did they try it and the shareholders said no! Management need to learn how to manage a balance sheet and generate profit rather that 3rd party distribution revenues. I'm selling this one.

Not sure where you get the forward Per of over 100 Bergster56?
Looking at Cannacord who handled the float and have issued some balanced notes, next year forecast is for pre-tax £2m and eps of 7.8p, that equates to about a fwd per 29. Depends on your timescale, but I am with the fish!

I think this is a company with alot of potential but for me valuation metrics dont stack up currently.

We have a loss making company, on a forward looking PE of over 100. Best quality news flow is already priced in. if this one has any hiccups at all the share price will have no support.

Are they dealing with any robotics companies or companies supplying tool heads to robots? A growing area and some robots are designed to be very mobile.
