24/2/2012 12:28 | ltinvestor -my source for info on the last Business Weekly article was the chief exec, who basically confirmed it was 'artistic' journalism, to put it politely! -he also confirmed they were doing well in the automotive sector. -it all boils down to 'how well', as at the end of the day its the figures that count. Current forecasts call for £22.5m t/o with a modest loss, that t/o is in line with the interim results t/o of £11m or so. Of course, thats the past, this years forecasts call for £28.5m t/o with eps 5p. I would be interested to see 1) If there are any upgrades for 2012 2) If anyone has a stab at 2013. Tech looks good, just my view that on a forward rating of p/e 40 there ain't a lot of room for error, but a big jump in 2013 forecasts over 2012 could make them an attractive proposition. By big I mean something like 15p-20p eps for 2013. | the prophet
24/2/2012 12:07 | >Prophet.Tend to agree regarding journalists but my source confirms the content of the article.Looking forward to results and CEO statement. | ltinvestor
20/2/2012 13:06 | ATEX certified product is important - big market potential, not a lot of competition and price not too critical. You try tracking people and tools in an ATEX environment That is a good piece of news. The big Oil & Gas boys don't shave pennies off safety - it's too important. | timtom2
20/2/2012 12:01 | This is fun: S3-id tracks personnel. apad | apad
20/2/2012 11:52 | b. Not deramping, never done it, don't trade, hold shares forever. UBI is in my Short List. Admire the technology, always look for the counter arguments. S. I know $17.50, in my case! Also I've watched Plexus rise and rise while I vacillated! apad | apad
20/2/2012 11:52 | APAD - Great quote!!! Love it smell | smelleroo
20/2/2012 11:45 | You know a share is worth something and going places when derampers slowly begin to emerge from the woodwork | bergster56
20/2/2012 11:27 | S. I like it! An extra from Star Wars should be into World Domination. All of this from Smallworld beginnings. I had a trawl round for a US competitor without much luck; a few specialists. Pity we haven't got a technical viewpoint that is independent of the company. This quote always worries me, and I'm an engineer! "There are three ways to ruin yourself -- gambling, women, and technology. Gambling is the fastest. Women are the most pleasurable. Technology is the most certain." Georges Pompidou I'm going to try and find something in the engineering comics. apad | apad
20/2/2012 11:22 | APAD, some thought the same about apple, and missed it! GL smell | smelleroo
20/2/2012 10:21 | Potential world domination for starters? From the Company's website: Ubisense is the market leader of location solutions, delivering mission-critical enterprise asset tracking and geospatial systems. The company's location technology provides more than 500 customers worldwide with unprecedented visibility of, and control over, previously intractable business processes. A huge market to play for. Edit: and from the RNS today: Richard Green, CEO of Ubisense, said: "We are delighted to see increasing uptake of the Atlas Copco TLS system. The fact that one in every three cars in the world is assembled with Atlas Copco tools highlights the enormous growth opportunity for the TLS, particularly as the solution is now being sold through the Atlas Copco catalogue providing increased exposure to a greater number of automotive manufacturers across multiple geographies." | saucepan
20/2/2012 09:49 | Fans, Please destroy this argument: "UBI is a horribly capital intensive company with a ROCE of 7%. It's just toys for the boys to play with and a negative EPS forecast. It has a PCF that is twice the sector, that is twice the market. And it sounds like an extra from Star Wars! Just find yourself a company that generates free cash." apad | apad
20/2/2012 09:38 | excellent news. This one remains firmly under the radar, but has massive potential. What a collaboration! Ubi has access to 1 in every 3 cars manufactured globally! | bergster56
20/2/2012 09:22 | Like this statement: "As the TLS is adopted more broadly, we are finding that manufacturers require additional applications relevant to the assembly line.." apad | apad
20/2/2012 09:15 | Something of an under the radar RNS at 9.00am. Very good news all the same. | saucepan
20/2/2012 09:06 | Excellent news today further endorsing my opinion that Ubisense is developing into a world class business. | ltinvestor
17/2/2012 09:08 | MMs took this down for a few mins by 4p on zero volume. Strange. Quickly came back up again and selling price has been raised with a narrowed spread. Still no volume | bergster56
16/2/2012 20:46 | no news released on the 1 million shares bought yesterday? Love the way this remains under the radar for the time being | bergster56
15/2/2012 20:25 | clearly interest is developing in this one. excellent company, novel product/service which is perfectly placed to help organisations implement Lean. | bergster56
15/2/2012 15:28 | Those 3 x 300K Buys @198p, all within two minutes at lunchtime, represent circa 4.2% of the shares in issue so, assuming that it is all from one source, there should be an RNS in due course. | masurenguy
15/2/2012 15:24 | some monster buying today. something up? | bergster56
13/2/2012 18:43 | I'm probably one of the guilty ones mas that have caused it. As you say only small trades which have a disproportionate affect on the shareprice and perhaps due to lack of newsflow. It was my intention to hold the shares I purchased at 183p-190p (I'm no day trader) but I've been adding to several holdings (REDT, ACC and a few others) and simply took profits between 205p-210p. Required to sell in small quantities and finished process last week. Hoping to return as I like the technology and their apparent leadership position but simply felt my money could be put to better use elsewhere for the timebeing and no reflection on the company. Regards GHF | glasshalfull
13/2/2012 16:46 | Shareprice drifting back down again since last months price spike, on minimal average daily volumes of less than 10K. | masurenguy
29/1/2012 20:48 | I got the impression it is their hardware (based on the background in the articles and judging by the detail in the patents), but I doubt they do their own manufacturing. Thanks for the patent info, gives a very good insight into the solution they provide. Surprisingly short range (very small 'cells'), I kind of imagined they just needed to put the base sensors in the 4 or five corners of a warehouse and job done. Looks like something the size of a production line would need a good number of sensors (good for revenue, but a weakness the competition could exploit?). | taylor20 |
