Thanks Manics.PMSLI like your Superstar Investor descriptor! However, in the case of TW a Celebrity Superstar Investor CSI would be more of his following liking.

Boris Pensions Tsar: EU Deal 'Unimpressive'

Edi Truell says the EU reform deal struck by David Cameron amounts to "a row of beans", according to an email seen by Sky News.

A prominent City financier who advises Mr Johnson says the deal is weak

By Mark Kleinman, City Editor

Protections for the City of London secured by David Cameron as part of his deal to reform Britain’s membership of the European Union (EU) are "unimpressive" and amount to "no more than a whingers’ charter", one of Boris Johnson’s key advisers has said.

Sky News has obtained an email sent this weekend by Edi Truell, a prominent City financier who advises the London Mayor on pensions and investments, to Andrew Feldman, the Conservative Party chairman, and Baroness Rock, a senior Tory official.

Mr Truell described the safeguards for London’s financial centre secured by Mr Cameron during negotiations with fellow EU leaders in Brussels on Friday, as “a row of beans”.

"From what one can see the so called Protection of the City amounts to no more than a whingers' charter,” Mr Truell wrote.

"We have the 'right to appeal to the heads of government': surely a 'right' we have already.

"The rest amounts to a row of beans. We already have a pound sterling and no obligation to join the euro."

Mr Truell said he was "unimpressed" and “worried that the exit negotiations will be conducted in an equally wet manner".

A number of major City employers, including the Wall Street banks Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan, have made substantial donations to Britain Stronger in Europe, while several leading hedge fund managers are backing the ‘Out’ campaign.

The deal agreed on Friday night included some limited protections for the City, which followed opposition from France to special safeguards for UK-based financial services firms.

Chris Cummings, chief executive of TheCityUK, a financial services lobbying group, said:

“Research has shown that Brexit risks a loss of jobs across the country, could damage the City, and would weaken the UK's attractiveness to international investors.

“Businesses across the UK rely on being able to import from and export to the Single Market and access to it has been the major factor in making the City the leading global financial centre.

“While leaving the EU may not be ruinous for the UK economy, it would most likely lead to a loss of jobs and a faltering in economic growth.”

Yep I'll take that 74p UT.

Nice to see blue as I'm celebrating my big four-o today! A lady complimented me on my "amazing ab work" (her words) at the gym this morning so you can rest assured that (old) Manics still has it.

Have a great weekend all!

A nice steady rise then, I'll settle for that. I get the feeling that the corner has been well and truly turned.

Shorters will make money on the volatility all the way back up. I reckon they could be around for another 3-6 months.

I tried trading a few, but had to go out today and missed the 66p. Sadly my average has risen from 54.5p to 55.7p, so I'm not doing that again!!
