09/2/2016 11:07 | Tell you more when we get there buddy. Just sent to me via email (webcast reminder) | chemistdude
09/2/2016 10:58 | What?! So no Danny or Eddie show? | dollarzpounds
09/2/2016 10:50 | Revised speaker list: Richard Hurwitz, CEO David Williams, CFO Kevin Wilbur, A/P Automation Brian Proffitt, CTO Iain Hunter, Tungsten Bank Guy Miller, Corporate Development Officer | chemistdude
09/2/2016 10:32 | andrewdbl - correct, a CMD is to give financial institutions insight into an industry and how the company in question plays in that space. There should be no shocks either way, or any news at all. | hpcg
09/2/2016 09:56 | From a long observation of human behavior, You don't get the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and two non-execs turning up to give bad news for 2.75h Also, the board is supposed to be there for strategy, not operations If it is an operational matter (e.g. we lost 10m down the back of the sofa) they would have sent David Williams for that sort of thing. If it is 'we are taking it private', you don't need 2h to say that. So I expect something on progress, but nothing exciting:- re-affirmation that they will go cash positive on ebitda at some point in that financial year despite probably making a loss over the whole of the year. On strategy, some more info on PNC bank, how GE is being rolled out, Forex, TA, TEP - there are things to say. And maybe something exciting. | andrewdbl
09/2/2016 08:05 | I doubt anyone was expecting anything much better and it is the date at which this goes from loss making to break even that is important. Even if they have signed more companies up it will take several months to show a profit from them. thats the nature of the business. | pshevlin
09/2/2016 07:58 | Did someone say 40p | cyman
09/2/2016 07:10 | TUNG "broadly inline" i.e at best at the bottom of expectations... | roper
08/2/2016 23:22 | FWIW I'm quite optimistic: Tomorrow the strategic plan will be presented and we give the big city funds plenty of reasons to invest in TUNG. I expect there'll be a white rabbit or two; New TEP head announcement? New online positioning reveal? Re-mechanised TEP? New financing products unveiling? Anyway I think Rich will be there and say a few words himself, he is the CEO after all. 2h45m presentation will be quite substantial - lots of detail. Of the four speakers ET (20m) and DT (1.2m) already have considerable holdings (DT took 820k from ET in Oct 2015, and ET took 100k CFD in Jan 2016) , Nick (221k) has continually topped up since he was appointed Non-exec of the plc and then Chairman (most recently adding 100k on 7th Jan 2016) and Peter Kiernan holds 185,056 last adding during May 2015 placing and also took some at the 340p placing in Sept 2014). $£ you are correct! Danny, Nick, Peter, all speaking for the first time....Raring to go! | chemistdude
08/2/2016 22:01 | Indeed Hibberts, forgive me for being a little jumpy but I do hope nothing untoward is happening regarding Mr Hurwitz and his tenure ? I am growing in confidence with him in charge he seems to the kind of thorough, experienced hand on the tiller we need. If memory serves I think this is the first time in a long time (if indeed at all) we will hear from ETs brother Danny? All will be revealed no doubt......? | dollarzpounds
08/2/2016 20:17 | Yes very surprising,I want to here what progress the company is making not jam tomorrow speeches. | hibberts
08/2/2016 20:00 | Is it not a little surprising that the CEO Rick Hurwitz is not scheduled to speak? Surely the most knowledgable person as to how the whole business is performing at the moment ? | dollarzpounds
08/2/2016 19:08 | Register for the live webcast here: Speakers: Nick Parker Chairman of Tungsten Corporation plc Edmund Truell Vice Chairman, Tungsten Corporation Peter Kiernan Non-Executive Director Danny Truell Non-Executive Director -------------------- So ET will be there after all :) | chemistdude
08/2/2016 17:47 | I for one will be content with more detail on what is planned for FY 16/17 and a simple re-affirmation that they will go cash positive on ebitda at some point in that financial year despite probably making a loss over the whole of the year. I wish these people would stop trying to be clever and stop implying that they are the next baltimore/asos (ET i am looking at you) This should be a nice business where customers are sticky and there is a chance to build relationships and up-sell and sell add-ons. As it is mostly server based online, there is a little added sauce whereby that business can scale, within the constraints of having staff able to implement. | andrewdbl
08/2/2016 13:57 | Safe trip to all those going tomorrow. Let's hope there are some positive developments and the good start to 2016 continues. | dollarzpounds
05/2/2016 18:00 | Big day for Tungsten next week of course: the capital markets day on Tuesday. Looking for real progress. Real solutions. Real plans. Real strategy and real visibility of a coming turnaround. Have a great weekend all. | manics
05/2/2016 17:02 | good close - 68 and shorts report out and no update on Tung - still 3.79% | bs76
05/2/2016 08:29 | agreed but sometimes like when paying poker if you don't know who the sucker is, it is usually you. for me, the fact institutions are moving on /scaling back has to be a good sign albeit point to point I remain the 'sucker' as far as tung is concerned!... | edwardt
04/2/2016 14:59 | thanks - good detective work - I like the thought that the ratio of shorters has in all probability moved in % terms to joe public who is running his own isa account. | edwardt
04/2/2016 10:37 | andrewbl, I checked with one of my friends in the city and he is of view that normally it's 80-90% utilization rate of lend stocks. So if we take 85% of 9.1m, shorts should be around 7.74m and as short reported for > 0.5% is 4.9m (3.89%). That leaves remaining shorts for PI and funds < 0.5% around 2.8m The other important point from euroclear data is the difference between dec and jan data is around 600k. Jan-16 9,132,367 Dec-15 9,739,576 So the recovery is not because of short closing but long buying. I believe it's a good news that shorts still have to close if we get any good news regarding neutral cashflow in next few months | bs76
03/2/2016 20:21 | I think it is a trade association "E-invoice alliance germany" | andrewdbl
03/2/2016 19:10 | My German is nonexistent but it looks as though we have partnered with German player:Verband to bring Tungsten Network to Germany. Would appreciate if anyone who understands German can summarise the video for us as to Verbands role but provisionally my thoughts are that they are going to help us get some German blue chips. Could do with getting the likes of Volkswagen, BMW, E.ON, Deutsche Bank?(they did invest in Tung afterall) SAP will use Ariba I guess ;-) | chemistdude
03/2/2016 17:48 | It will include all CFD provider's (IG, cityIndex) which provide short facility to PI's Plus it will include Hutchin which went to 0.49 last week, So they still might have around 0.40 and few more hedge funds with position less than 0.50 | bs76 |
