Yes it does seem a bit strange. Perhaps the market wants to see reassurance that the debt problem has been resolved before letting the share price go, Of which I'm quietly confident. We await News and a Positive up date from the new CEO. do we have to wait until the 1st of July

Farming down Guyana 30% and sending a rig to drill will shoot the share price back up as was the main reason for the fall from £2 but yes oil at $50_60 will send the share price to £1.30 now the debt situation sorted.

The professional shorters know that Tullow can put a floor hedging on next years production at close to the mid $40s....and keep the upside. If the current momentum continues we might be able to do that at $50. As soon as the Company has covered free cash flow headroom requirements, it can buy in its short term maturity debt or its own shares. The shorters are looking increasingly out on a limb. I have bought more shares over the last week...this could blow.
I am not so attracted by short term movements in the oil price...i believe, rightly or wrongly, that we have finally sorted out the key issues with Ghanaian production and as per the latest report and accounts....i think the upside on Ten is a great opportunity. I genuinely believe we will be trading at over £1.30 per share, if oil recovers to $50 and we remain in contango on the forward curve.

I meant that if 60% is hedged - then they will get those receipts at these prices.

The price rise is, therefore, only relevant to 40% of production for 2020.

I don't see a $56 price.

Of course, a rising price is still massively beneficial from 2021 and beyond and also on the sale of other assets.

They have probably paid for options so dont have to take them up if price higher - they talk about a floor in prices.

spacedust - that was the plan.

Brent went from $36 to $34 and the price dropped from 25p to 22p late last week.

We are pushing $40 and the price is still only approaching where it was.

Something has to give at some point.

When Brent was 15$ tlw was 25p
Now Brent is 40$ tlw is still 25p

Surely tullow should be 60p

Looks like the gap fill on Brent is happening.

The gap fill on TLW should follow.
