23/4/2020 07:58 | Well said whites.also reduction in community and security issues. Kenya next? Then we should have a company with good cash generation from Ghana and none operated and drilling prospects as required after getting the debt down | ![]() subsurface
23/4/2020 07:57 | This is great news | ![]() datait
23/4/2020 07:56 | 'Priced to go bust, don't think it is going to happen now.......shorters will close, simples.' Absolutely spot on and expressed in one simple sentence. Bankruptcy is the great fear for all equity holders. That ain't gonna happen now. That relief can be a real bonus in nervy markets. | ![]() mirabeau
23/4/2020 07:54 | In exploration, Tullow continues to pursue potential farm downs of its exploration licences to reduce equity interests ahead of drilling and further reduce costs 60% in Guyana down to say 20%? Maybe better for eco? | ![]() rayrac
23/4/2020 07:51 | Priced to go bust, don't think it is going to happen now.......shorters will close, simples. | ![]() bigbigdave

23/4/2020 07:49 | So, shorters were saying its a dead duck. Now TLW have exited Uganda, raised £575 Million (More than double the current sp) and now the shorts are shouting undersold. Look this way... The new CEO stated he intends to make TLW strong again and reach its former glory. Goldman clearly got wind of this and are using Insider trading to benefit, but does that matter? Debt reduced, tax implications gone, and a clause in place that when Oil gets back to sensible levels then TLW will benefit in cash receipts.... Its brilliant... It will be free cash coming in... Maybe not this year, but certainly in years to come. If of course you take the "In out in out shake it all about stance" then it matters not.. Investors here for the 400%, 500% gains will be happy to see TLW grow once again. I have said it and I will say it again... TLW will provide an opportunity for many to change their lives... I do not like shorting as it benefits off of destruction.. Maybe today and certainly going forward they may reap what they sow. Oil hedged for 2020 at > $57..... Come on... get real... TLW is essentially in a great position considering. | ![]() whites123
23/4/2020 07:48 | Big chunk of debt is 800 million bond not due to be repaid until 2025. Near term it’s only a few hundred mill on a convertible. | ![]() ham74
23/4/2020 07:47 | I’m prepared to wait. I’ll be back on here in a few months time to see exactly who was right and who was wrong. Similar trends to now insolvent businesses and businesses sold off very cheaply. Let’s see who says I told you so first. | ![]() smartie6
23/4/2020 07:47 | The shorters a classic private punter quote that!!! | ![]() barnes4
23/4/2020 07:46 | @smartie- someone about to lose a lot of money on their shorts or upset they are about to miss a huge gap up? This is positive whichever you look, Brent is up 10% and the debt is less of an issue now. The company also has the debt facility, I will regret that I didn’t buy any yesterday | allseeingeye1
23/4/2020 07:42 | You are all looking at this wrong. Sale at $575m v $960m plus valuation is a significant write off. In turn this is security against debt which will be reduced, it isn’t an increase in cash flow. Anyone know why the sale was backdated, was this for tax purposes or had they received a $500m down payment? | ![]() smartie6
23/4/2020 07:42 | They will have hedged their production for future sales yes....but that wouldn't be the price TOTAL have valued this asset at I bet. | ![]() molatovkid
23/4/2020 07:41 | Lol . Who you trying to kid. | ![]() sbb1x
23/4/2020 07:39 | This should jump today to 28p plus | ![]() inv
23/4/2020 07:39 | You can see those gutted they sold out, and or not already in here. | ![]() leoneobull
23/4/2020 07:39 | Haha. Did you two know that they have hedged their prices for 2020/21? | asusasus
23/4/2020 07:38 | Fact is oil prices are poor, Tullow has substantial debt....beggars can't be choosers. That said, when debt is a predominant factor as here, raising a big chunk to pay debt down is an improvement. | ![]() molatovkid |
