Rubicon. Year in year out Brits picking fruit and vegetables....? Funny cause the British farmers said Brits dont apply for jobs there and even when they do dont last 5 minutes as it's really hard work"

Times are a changing you'll find.

"I'm all in favour of redeployment of the large swathes of the underclasses to fruit picking. Will stop them lurking on this BB"

Putin isn't bothered if the US doesn't like the oil feud going on'sThey can continue producing confatably for years below 30 dollas ab.Too many small produces now throughout the world that's continuing to suppress the oil prices. More and more of us moving over to electric for are transport with cars taxis busses, and soon air travel, oil at today's production levels will swamp the sector. Only the mass producers with low operating costs will succeed.

Putin won't budge and MBS is a big child! shale has had a free ride on the back of OPEC+1 cuts for far too long. Think this stalemate will last for a little while longer. Also Hutis targeted Saudi capital and some infrastructure yesterday. Recon, more to come.

The oil forward curve is very steep, in "contango". Brent for 2021 is trading around USD 40 to USD 45 now. Tullow has some hedges. Is the rest sold at spot or forward prices or a mixture? If some of it is sold forward, then some of next year's production could at least be near breakeven levels of USD 45.

If you read Buy british website plenty of Brits willing to aid farmers, to pick fruit and veg.

But they're all quarantined at home!

Simple solution, facemask and nitrile gloves. Job done.

Stop the pro Remain tripe.

Whilst both Iran and the USA are both under attack from COVID 19, Iran is also ill equipped militarily to wage an all out direct war against the Saudis, who following recent missile attacks on its oil, refineries/installations, have bought millions of dollars worth of anti missile equipment from the U.S.A..
An attack on Saudi Arabia, could even risk bringing in its ally-the USA, giving the latter an excuse to bring about a much sought and popular regime change in Iran. That said, would U.S. Democrats play their recently acquired trump card and stop the president going to war without their approval. When weighing the global glut of oil against demand, would a war between Iran and Saudi Arabia, result in a meaningful rise in the P.O.O.

Agree with you on Covid Pro S2009 and hope you will be wrong on a middle eastern war as that is a solution to nothing not even today's oil oversupply which looks like it is between 15 and 20 million barrels per day oversupplied. Think this could be a first.

Oil now hitting the brick wall of no storage as the Saudis cornered the storage ship market at the start of the spat with Russia. Market forces will cut the oil supply and the Saudi's ,as ever, have control and shalers will turn the taps off in a way that could threaten the US banks (without intervention).

US inventory reports tomorrow night from the API will make bad but unsurprising reading. Think that may already be in the WTI price. Oil already being sold on the ground at discounts to Brent and WTI spot prices.
