29/3/2020 02:17 | Vaccine could be years away. The only effective way is - find a cure (which appears to be the case with Hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin combo). Get over the peak of the initial batch of very old and those with underlying disease getting it (should be under control in a couple of weeks - the peak is now near) With the peak done, end lockdowns (but keep those at risk - eg those with underlying illness under isolation) - and allow those remaining in the general population to get it and recover. Then you have herd immunity and a treatment. Just because a segment of the population is already sick with disease and so is at risk cannot be used as an excuse to not let the healthy get on with life. There are only 2 ways to end it - vaccine or just get on with it and let the over 99% of people who will get it and have no/minimal symptoms and recover, get it and recover and be immune. Obviously those working on a vaccine dont want the general free for all get it and recover - they make money by selling a vaccine. So at some point there will be a massive argument - wait (potentially years) for a vaccine, or just isolate the at risk group and let the rest of us carry on with normal life. . | pro_s2009

28/3/2020 23:36 | See some credible scientists say getting the virus sorted via lock down won't do much come autumn/winter The only way back to normality is a vaccine Thus 3 week/12 week stuff is just ton pacify the public. I doubt they believe what they say themselves | sentimentrules

28/3/2020 09:42 | Big question for me is whether the Saudi initiated price fall is to bankrupt Iran. They hate each other. Russia supports Iran and US supports Saudi. There is now talk of US going after Iranian militia soon in Iraq - doing so could spark a direct war with Iran. So maybe Saudi are laying the seeds for something in a few months time, bankrupt the Iranians, weaken the Russians with low oil prices, allow USA to fill their strategic reserve to the brim (needed for war) - and then we might see things kick off with Iran soon (firstly in Iraq against their militia and then, see what escalates). | pro_s2009
28/3/2020 07:24 | This constant ramping isn’t helping anyone. It’s led by dreamers who still can’t face the realism of their investment. The sun doesn’t always shine. The price of oil continues to fall and analysts have predicted negative prices, the markets are in turmoil, and there appears to be only one way at this moment in time, down. | ![]() smartie6
