16/1/2020 22:45 | Looks like a corner has been turned. In today at 51p. A good rise looks likely | theplayerofgames
16/1/2020 22:20 | This bombed out share will regain 100p per share in some months time. Reserves are OK and still producing a lot. Only short term issues to fix. | allin
16/1/2020 22:00 | Beautifully put sirrux That's it. Trying to find the 'public' unknown or potential one..good or bad .. whether it is fundamentally through own research..or trying to spot the city outlook via money movements, using their research via money movement ..doesn't matter. Whichever fits with the psyche | sentimentrules
16/1/2020 21:05 | the balance sheet will be impacted obviously by the substantial provision will it reduce assets or intangibles cheers fellas and sr Tullow expects to report pre-tax impairments and exploration write-offs of c.$1.5 billion (c.$1.3 billion post tax) primarily due to a $10/bbl reduction in the Group's long-term accounting oil price assumption to $65/bbl and a reduction in TEN 2P reserves | sarkasm
16/1/2020 20:59 | Agreed SR, it's what the market cannot see that matters. I find it funny that a lot of analysis is based on what people can see (in the literal sense - such as a set of numbers or the text in an RNS rather than what's missing from that), you can see why a lot of bad investment decisions are made. | sirrux
16/1/2020 20:37 | As it stands now... it's not really capable of showing something key to market. That they can beat expectation on a date, or show future growth potential. I do mean 'as it stands' Certainly be interesting at half the price to see how credible any new direction may be Very expensive stock today though.. on risk analysis anyway | sentimentrules
16/1/2020 20:34 | Yes, I see that it is possible. The debt is stressed but it's not distressed. The management needs to change and the BOD know that. If they do it right they will start offloading dead weight to allow new management to come in with a fresh slate of ideas. They already offloaded the two main heads, so we might be nearer than we think. The new CEO needs to be more of deal maker than a corporate manager. In the background, PE is lurking to acquire assets (including the ex-CEO founder) but they will want a good deal. If it drops further, I think that will become increasingly likely. | sirrux
16/1/2020 20:21 | Well sirrux if you think there may be something to back here down the road, and the bears kick it to death in the interim. .. it's a smart bull that appreciates the bear. Your future value Good to see somebody sees the good in it from other side of the market | sentimentrules
16/1/2020 20:09 | Yesterday about mid-morning a raft of negative headlines came out as if it was all new news. That's manna from heaven if it suits your position, so the bears really had an easy ride. Most of the articles were complete rubbish and there was almost no follow up today as it wasn't really news. The effect wore off quick. I welcome the bears to kick a bit harder. The business has screwed up and if there aren't hard kicks going in now they may go the way of other businesses with management issues. They seriously need to get out of review mode and up a gear, when you look at some of the businesses that failed in the past two years they all spent a lot of time doing reviews, so that's a red flag - a business either knows what it's doing or does not. | sirrux

16/1/2020 16:49 | There was some talk recently (Sbb1x I'd imagine) about the UT trade being higher than the closing spread, in which case the insinuation was that it represented a clue that further rises might be on the cards. Sbb1x might be able to clarify further. | stupmy
