IF the Energy watch dog does its job, consumers should get a Xmas bonus of lower gas bills. Prices of petrol at the pumps should also fall as companies fight to maintain their share of sales.

There will be need to be a cut in oil production and an increase in demand before there is going to be any notable upward change in the p.o.o. The current risk is oversupply threatening storage capacity around the world.

Personally think oil is rangebound 40-50 until we know what OPEC decide to do at their December meeting. I believe oil is going higher but dont know when. Its quite possible there is more pain to come yet...

Sure everything can happen but there are states in a lot more trouble than most company. Clearly not good time for Oil and gas but this should make the best time for investor, let not forget that 10% reduction in production can see prices double and with all the caped cut we will get there on my view sooner that most predict. I suspect too that most of the Iranian oil will go to India and rebalance the forecast.

the few who do survive may well takeover all the assets of those that dont.
It may not come true but that sort of thing has certainly happened in the past.

This cannot survive will oil prices this low for a sustained period, no sign prices will rise either for some considerable time. Very few will survive the energy/commodity rout
