10/1/2018 12:06 | WITJ, absolutely, this period, as back in the summer, is does not appear to be normal trading based on the fundamental, it is a jostling for a position in TRIN prior to what I believe will be a transformational year. GO posted a very good end of year analysis for TRIN on LSE with oil at $62. We should be debt free by the end of the year with a forward PE for 2019 of approx 2.5PE. My personal beliefs is oil will average highter than $62 this year, but happy to take a cautious analysis. The US average PE ratio for the oil and gas sector is 25, I would say we have sufficient room for growth once the seats have been taken. The only problem is, like the summer where it looks like there was a big buy being processed the number of sellers are scarce and take months to be flushed out of their positions so we may have to wait a little longer before we challenge a fairer value. Like most on here happy to wait and see. | mark10101
10/1/2018 11:51 | After the peak in March, we bottomed at 10p. This time around after peaking we've bottomed about 15p. Rising bottoms. Id rather we were surging over 30p, but chart is bullish imo. IIRC the last big rise was when Jennings bought in. Bruce said next thing was to bring in institutional investors. I think maybe with Whitmans PR, they should be able to find IIs willing to take a stake. | whiskeyinthejar
10/1/2018 11:34 | It is undervalued so don't know why it isn't rising, but personally I sold 25k yesterday bought at 14.5p.I like the company and hold a lot for me, but I think TXP will be much quicker off the mark this year. | che7win
10/1/2018 11:29 | What on earth is going on here. CERN up 12% (output 500 bopd)and other oilers breaking out and yet here we sit flat as we have been virtually for months. | marvelman
10/1/2018 09:57 | Kepner We wait until February update Maybe a west Coast update before ? | spellbrook
10/1/2018 09:47 | Something to enjoy whilst we wait : | kepner
09/1/2018 22:54 | I think tomorrow could be a day TRIN cannot be ignored at the current price with oil surging. | mark10101
09/1/2018 22:21 | Well the weather models proved very helpful in predicting the 11.16m draw in crude against the 3.9m expected (who made that number up....) The weather models indicated the severe weather they have just had back on the 20th December. They have just predicted another bout of cold starting this weekend. | mark10101
09/1/2018 17:37 | Maybe oil is reacting the latest weather models that after a bit of warming for the US in the next few days it goes very cold by the weekend and into the future. | mark10101
09/1/2018 16:51 | SP ?????????????? Sorry, frustration got the better of me. | uapatel

07/1/2018 10:23 | Wrong board but... Hawk biggest shareholder, made another purchase..20,000,000 more shares!! Could be interesting there next week. Hope it also does a Trin | philmac56
05/1/2018 19:13 | WITJ, that is my view to, some are writing it off as not happening but they can’t leave things hanging as they are, my belief is damage is being done every week they delay. I think I have posted before but more wells were drilled in 2015 in the depth of the oil crash by a wider range of operators than in 2017. With oil rising and at a profitable level for companies like TRIN througout 2017, I see only one reason for such a low drill rate. | mark10101
05/1/2018 18:34 | Mark, I don't know about Sunday. Im not hung up on tax. But having said they are gonna reform tax, they have to follow through or retract. Last week I posted this article written by the Energy Chamber in Trinidad-it's saying we need clarity. So oil and gas sector is 60% of Trinidads economy and those companies in the sector are saying collectively WTF is going on !!! They can't leave us hanging indefinetely then. For example, we know Trinity are having conversations with potential partners offshore. How can they agree anything without knowing the likely return on investment? Maybe I want to make a takeover bid for Trinity, wouldn't I wait to have clarity on how much government are going to be trimming off? So news soon. It overdue. Because "wait and see" isn't a sustainable position. And when we have clarity I believe we will start to see some deals. | whiskeyinthejar
05/1/2018 17:08 | Absolutely WITJ, I think we are currently in the position with cash to pay all off if we wanted. We have options which is why my attention turned to things out of our control such as SPT reform. I wonder if this Sunday has any significance. If not maybe it will be later in the month. As Others have said we are doing nicely under current reigime so not critical but if it is delivered with the key points addressed as discussed in the October budget it will be a great start to the year for TRIN. | mark10101
05/1/2018 16:35 | Thanks WITJ | uapatel
05/1/2018 16:25 | Unapatel, it never was intended that the loans would convert. It's just security offered to the lenders -which normally gets you a lower interest rate. I don't think the company can be clearer- its even in Bruce's incentive conditions - they plan to pay off all the debt early. And they have the cash to do it very soon. | whiskeyinthejar
05/1/2018 15:51 | Whiskey That’s exactly why the big boys make money - they know that so are accumulating as are the board imho. Let’s look at why and how and when a director can buy?! If there’s a new deal they can’t so basically they have to buy based on the company fundamentals. I expect more rns of director buys. A | shrewdmole
05/1/2018 15:49 | WITJ, Taking on board your figures, the point would still be to get the CLNs removed before they are due. This would surely be positive for the SP? I'm just trying to understand why we seem to be well behind what people view as a fair value. Im not sure this can all be down to SPT, as Shrewdmole said the company is still making money even in this environment. | uapatel
05/1/2018 15:31 | Its a red herring imo. Why do they need to save up? They had $12.3 million cash at end of September 2017, face value of the loan is $6.7m NET debt was about -$1m at end of H1, so net debt should be positive now. | whiskeyinthejar |
