I did some analysis of the fundamentals since 2017 and couldn't believe how cheap shares are right now.

In the 7 year period from H117 to H223, TET traded on an average Price to Tangible Book of 4.15x, with a peak of ~6x in 2021 and a trough of 2.6x in H219. At the current share price it's valued at less than 1.75x

This business is valued at £245m with just shy of £40m in land / building assets, zero net debt & which will have generated ~£60m in cashflow from operations over the last 3 years. It doesn't have lease liabilities either due to owning the freehold.

If we consider the land / freehold to be cash, then it's trading on an EV/FCF yield of just under 10%. It also grew top line by 16% in H2 on a purely organic basis...

At what point does a US fund just step in and relieve the idiot II's holding this?

We are in an approximate £4-£5 range atm,
with brief times spent both below and above those prices. I added another few back today, however the Trump dimension arguably makes TET higher risk - a larger competitor could always pounce, although that's highly speculative musing on my part.

Without getting in to the politics, a blanket 10% import tax is not practical. At the very least you would need exceptions.

Plus where is the domestic labour force to replace imported goods and materials?.

As one example, look at the recent % pay increases from Boeing to settle their strike. The US is already short of skilled labour.

Who's going to pick the domestic citrus crop following mass deportation of migrations (if this happens).
I've sold and will buy back lower down, if available, as can
see trouble ahead as the market attempts to factor this in.

good questions - i guess at least we have a base in the US so should have an advantage.

How much of their product sold in the US market is manufactured in the UK I wonder..?.

Also a chunk of raw ingredients are sourced from South American countries, among others.

That will be shipped in to the US (they also manufacture in the US).

Trump and tariffs..eh.

Perhaps the recent share price volatility is off putting, it can move lower rapidly for what appears little reason.

edwart, CEO:s miniscule purchase still bugs me now.

He's ex Croda and must be a wealthy individual.

Is he seeing potential risks I'm overlooking..

If the business continues to grow, which looks a high probability, they may in time create a separate COO position.

He seems very capable and well respected. However, I’m not sure it’s too wise to have a combined CFO/ New European MD role. Spreads the CFO too thinly with consequent risk of taking the eye off the ball, which is the prime role of the FD.

It seems the CFO feels he is capable, and we all agree that he is, of taking on more managerial responsibilities over and above just a pure finance role.

Like others v pleased with this news.
