04/3/2024 08:20 | Croda results recently showed only division with decent sales growth last year was Fragrances and Flavourings. Trust that is a good sign.Hopefully Ryan Govender and Alison Sleight will do really well next three months - reassuring that today's announcement did not come with a profit warning. | partridge1948
04/3/2024 07:58 | Well that was potentially good timing edward | barnes4
04/3/2024 07:56 | Looks like a good appointment | edwardt
01/3/2024 09:13 | tbh the price should be irrelevant. you could argue it is less risky now given the large fall imho. | edwardt
29/2/2024 19:55 | Just wondering why you were adding at this time I am concerned about the fact this is dropping in value day after day and to add now seems a tad risky? Thanks | barnes4
29/2/2024 17:36 | all valid points. sometimes you have to hold your nose. for me, inventories should be a good way through and restocking will follow. just a hunch and agree the rating in hindsight got silly. if we are on a free cash flow yield of 7% with likely 3 to 5% growth this is a buy... | edwardt
29/2/2024 17:21 | cfro, thanks for the view - I would just add that for many years TET sold around 13-14X (from memory) - ZIRP altered this. It's now a larger business and arguably also higher quality tbf. | essentialinvestor
29/2/2024 16:02 | Fortune usually favours the brave, i have found that to be true through my experience. I would be topping up myself if i only had the spare funds which sadly i do not. The question you are all asking if there will be a profit warning is sensbile to ask. Going by the recent AGM update only a month ago it was neutral overall but signs of destocking coming to an end and they are anticipating a further improvement in net debt which is very encouraging.. My opinion then is that personally i don't expect a warning, but that said things could change later this year. If there were to be a warning i guess the question becomes how severe? I think in this regard we are pretty safe because i suspect it highly unlikely the PBT and eps will be knocked by more than say 10% or so at worse.. It all comes back to it's rating then which is currently about 18 times. Not cheap by markets standards but certainly better value by the companies historical standards and definitely quite cheap compared with sector standards.. | cfro
29/2/2024 13:53 | IF they warn, stress on IF, then this trades nearer £3 a share. Speculation on my part Only. | essentialinvestor
29/2/2024 12:59 | 20 % drop in a month | barnes4
29/2/2024 12:56 | This outfit is out of control and they need to get a grip very quickly otherwise we will be seeing a price with a 2 in it in short order!! | barnes4
29/2/2024 12:37 | I always like to use the method of "If there was no share price chart, would I still buy the stock here?" I'd still be concerned that a profit warning would put this on 20x+ earnings, which while still a big discount to the other players in the industry, wouldn't likely be taken by the market well. Nor is there a permanent CEO or CFO in place. I suspect this is what the market is thinking, and hence hanging fire on. Eric | pireric
29/2/2024 12:31 | edwardt, i get the logic. But brave - and that sometimes pays off. | essentialinvestor
29/2/2024 12:27 | sod it. i have topped up. nearly debt free - time will tell if good idea! | edwardt
