Perhaps we should all consult Mystic Phil to see if he has a prediction for the day after tomorrow then Lol....

Some of you really do crack me up.

FEVR did something similar (despite being a very different business) I made 20% in a couple of weeks.

I think this could do the same but I note Phil's prediction about tomorrow - so I will wait.

It might be their first slip-up but when your shares trade on 30x p/e and you downgrade estimates by 37% you are going to take a share price hit. This hasn't become a bad company overnight, but neither is it now a cheap one.

This bulletin board goes for months and hardly a single post, more posts today than we've had for a year LOl..

..Some inane comments around lack of trust of management when its the first real slip-up by the management team ever...

It's time you retire then, you bought when PE was 10, now you will buy when PE is 1.

Shut up goon, go and find another hobby.

It wasn't on a high P/E when I last purchased about 15 years ago. A P/E closer to 10 than 20 would be a very nice buy price! It may not get to that though.

U watch the heavy buying start very soon and take it back over 600 for starters

Companies like this will always trade on a very high p/e. Trading statement was decent to my mind. Not everything going their way but all companies having to pull out extra at the moment. 33 percent drop is ridiculous. And yes it's a huge target now.

Does anyone know the p/e ratios of competitors and likely acquirers?

Topvest where are you on your p/e starting with a '1'?

If p/e 19 then that indicates around £5. A general market sell off (inflation, Ukraine escalation, Taiwan) easily gets us there.

However, if so then a much larger competitor with deep pockets will surely turn up and Treatt gets taken out for what £7 - £8?

I held Treatt until about a year ago since 2008. It's always had exposure to commodity prices and F/X, so profit progression is not a vertical line from left to right. Market had overpriced the business. It's still a good business though, so will look for an opportunity to get back in when the P/E starts with a 1, rather than recently a 4!

Play the longer game, and top up while cheap……..just like the Directors

Looks like another big over reaction here. The market is being brutal at the moment to any miss but it's creating good opportunities to get quality stocks at decent prices.

Nice new building.
Lots of nice new employees.
Naive currency hedging.
Back the management.

..But buying in 12 months time you might miss a bid...

The directors think its a buy at these levels. Both the Chairman and CEO picking up shares.

It will take 18-24m to recover following a profit warning. It was certainly overvalued. Valuation starting to look bit more attractive again, but no rush to re-enter. Best to buy a profit warning 6-12m later.

Who the Fx is Tina Doyle Lol....

All speculation i know, but you would naturally think any potential take-over bid would come from the States. The share price is half its ATH and Sterling is weak against the Dollar. This surely is not being missed..

A takeover is more likely from a big customer.

If you look at the Edison research on TET there is a list of so called competitors and my bet if there is a bid will come from the USA.
