I always thought It was a piece of fruit-cake with his tea that Lord Lee allowed but maybe it will be biscuits too with these superb results Lol!

I highly recommend the presentation document which is on the website - the illustrations help appreciate the dynamics of this business. Thanks to management for sharing this right away with all shareholders.

The obvious (astounding) pages 8 and 9 are nice and the 25% divi growth will secure DR biscuits with his tea with Lord Lee with good margin of safety.

The most interesting pages are 12, 14, 15 and 24 - which let us appreciate the quality of this growing business with rapidly improving product mix (sustainable margin expansion), very loyal customers (yes, recurring revenues) and both cost improvements and operating leverage still to come from a new plant with room to triple - and explicit targets for higher margins and ROCE... Roll this dynamic forward a few years, and whoops the 25% ROCE target on an expanded capital base is in the bag.

Given the fresh confidence expressed with "Strong revenue growth expected to continue", this is one to hang on to.

Revenue up 14%, PBT up 42.8%, adjusted basic eps up 37.2%, dividend up 32.2% are just some of the terrific numbers.(In the financial highlights, apart from revenue +14%, there isn't a single number below +25% - that is some feat!)

To say the company continues to go from strength to strength is perhaps an understatement.

Weekly Roundup: Treatt expands footprint in China


Treatt, a global natural extracts and ingredients manufacturer, has transitioned its China operation from a representative office to a WOFE, a company established in China according to local law and wholly owned by one or more foreign investors.

This development means Treatt can conduct business, hire local employees and generate revenue in Chinese yuan renminbi (CNY) currency without using a subsidiary company in China.

Trading update out:

14% increase in revenues. Tea performing particularly well with a 113% increase representing 11% of revenues. I wonder why TEA performing so well, is it something to do with the latest craze for Bubble Tea?

The move to the new UK facilities still in progress - Mid '22 for the plant and machines to be up and running and mid '23 date for the final transfer and upgrade.

About 40 pcnt of their biz is in citrus oils and ingredients - this year prices on every category have gone crazy…..def good for this little gem!

Also bought just over another 100 shares today, and if it decides to drift further down in any significant way will see it as an added opportunity. As they say, run your winners. And although it is not a cheap stock, I don't think it would be effected in the same way as some of the overly priced tech stock would be if a bear market comes along.

Added today. I intend to buy and hold this company so adding after a decent correction seems sensible - who knows? Perhaps the chairman does I guess!!
