09/7/2020 14:07 | IC have an article today on gold and how to benefit from its rise. Their conclusion:- IC View We have been bullish towards gold miners for over a year now, and believe their operational gearing to the gold price and dividend possibilities offer more than a straight gold holding. We are not as bullish as those pointing at $2,000/oz and above, but with a second wave in sight anything could happen. That said, our inclination is still to go the equity route to gain exposure to the yellow metal. | paleje
09/7/2020 13:04 | Ex-Dividend date: 9 July 2020 Record date: 10 July 2020 Payment date: 28 July 2020 - The record date is set by the board of directors of a corporation and refers to the date by which investors must be on the company's books in order to receive a stock's dividend. - An ex-dividend date is dictated by stock exchange rules and is usually set to be one business day before the record date. - If the stock sale has not been completed by the ex-dividend date, then the seller on record is the one who receives the dividend for that stock. | brasso3
09/7/2020 12:24 | Well a couple pennys higher and the breakout will be on :) | ukgeorge
09/7/2020 12:17 | Zangdook If I am incorrect then that is a mistake but if other people invest based on what they read on a BB then they deserve to lose money. | brasso3

09/7/2020 10:24 | I bought yesterday as I believe that was the last day to get the dividend, not today. | corrientes

09/7/2020 10:20 | Mine is not misinformation it is just what i believe to be the case. It is not meant as investment advice !! | jeanesy
09/7/2020 10:13 | Some dangerous misinformation above. If you buy on the ex-dividend date you will NOT get the dividend. That's why it's called ex-dividend. You're buying the shares without the dividend. Posts suggesting otherwise should be edited asap before people are fooled into losing money. | zangdook
09/7/2020 09:45 | Yes they go ex today but price drops tmw. Thanks Brasso. You need to hold today to get the dividend. | jeanesy

09/7/2020 08:52 | Although the ex div date is today the record date is tmw so i don't think the shares price is adjusted until tmw. Lets see if we can crack 90p resistance today | jeanesy
