21/9/2006 12:06 | adam I traded TSG yonks ago, a few times, and hadn't kept up to date with the minutia of developments since then, but logic suggests that the upside is considerable and the downside negligible. Leaving aside the fundamentals and prospects themsalves for a second, I think you are right to highlight shareholdings. In relation to which, I would ask just who would sell in light of today's news? Think about the thought process of someone selling now; they hold through the decline from 90p plus, and all through the recent plateau phase, and the uncertainties and bad news in that period. Then, once today's positive news comes out they decide now is the time to sell. It seems a tad countetintuitive to say the least. Like you, I did consider dilition, but the figures seem relatively immaterial. seems like an opportunity too good to miss. However, as sometimes such opportunities turn out not to be all they seem I've only got back in with a small amount of shares (about £2k worth) at this stage. | wiganer
21/9/2006 11:57 | Well Wiganer there is no stock around, my broker went everywhere apart from the Russian crook, and no sensible counter offers received either. The m.cap is $55m, hence you don't have to get off your toochas to work out that with a fully funded build for Asacha 100k oz it is cheap. I still maintain that the real excitemnt is in the shareholder register and how they propose to enrich themselves and by association us too... One question that remains is to what degree there will be dilution on bond conversion of the $10m loan and the acquisition of the Kamchatcka assets. | adam
21/9/2006 10:27 | Back in today. Very positive news. | wiganer
21/9/2006 10:05 | I bought a few this morning. Can't believe the lack of response to the news. | wiganer
21/9/2006 09:55 | Would be nice to get some real analysis of what this all means. A big 10K shares traded on the news that the company is getting almost £1 per share for the sale of veduga and the development of Asacha. | oldasiahand
21/9/2006 08:07 | Some good news at last. | adam
09/9/2006 06:36 | A further announcement on the financings is due before the end of the month. If it doesn't come then we are setting up for further delays. Seems like the South Africans at TSG have had problems getting funded by their Headquarters. | oldasiahand
06/9/2006 16:10 | No one GARA anymore? I really don't get it (the price action and the lack of interest here.) Stuck out here in the Philippine boonies it's a bit hard to get info these days. | oldasiahand
19/8/2006 19:38 | Mindblowingly lousy price performance on what I took to be a poistive announcement: funding will be completed without dilution, Veduga will probably go ahead and resources should be expanded. More manipulatiion so the Russkies can flush out the plebs and get more? | oldasiahand
09/8/2006 20:39 | Trans-Siberian Gold At Last Seems To Be Back On Track. | adam
22/7/2006 17:00 | It's upside volume and as such has rarely been a one day wonder. I have heard a suggestion to look out for £2 by the end of the year. | oldasiahand
21/7/2006 15:09 | ... and presumably some selling? Well anyway who cares - the price is up. | adam
21/7/2006 15:06 | Nice volume today. Some institution must be buying. | oldasiahand
08/6/2006 11:03 | Thought it was a done deal. Price action today poor on 5,000 shares. Hope it's a bear trap. | oldasiahand
07/6/2006 16:40 | 30 May 2006 Jonathan Best, CEO, said: "We are pleased to have received approval for the modifications to the Asacha licence and we are now well placed to finalise the financing arrangements and proceed with the project. A further announcement on financing can be expected within a week." I hope just a pedantic point, but it is a week yesteday. | adam
01/6/2006 07:20 | The original study was done with gold below $400. It is very viable in some form. Could also get announcement on reserves at either site. | oldasiahand
31/5/2006 16:21 | Assuming previous Veduga study done at much lower gold prices (Was below $500) it would seem logical that it is now potentially viable /saleable. They stated lack of grid power hiked the costs, but I suspect more political, and perhaps that too has changed? | adam
31/5/2006 11:34 | The announcement says more to come within a week. probably the financing wrapped up. May be something on Veduga progress. | oldasiahand
30/5/2006 22:38 | The news has come or has it in full? What you think OldAsiaHand? | frrinvest
29/5/2006 00:05 | The news should come very soon perhaps this week. | oldasiahand
16/5/2006 18:10 | Hope like hell this ain't the top otherwise we're all in deep kimchi, eh ? Looking forward to some good news for a change this week. | ghof
16/5/2006 11:26 | Board meeting later this week. Action dispointing since company has been quiet. Expect positive announcements on Asacha and maybe Veduga. This is a shakeout in a bull market for gold shares in general, not a top. | oldasiahand
16/5/2006 10:34 | Why such a big drop in last few days. I know general market conditions are not very favourable but this share never really rose that much when market was climbing anyway. Thin volume. MM's tricks?!! Any comments out there | frrinvest
09/5/2006 17:16 | Any +ve news will send TSG into orbit ... IMHO. | frrinvest
09/5/2006 15:34 | Gold at 695 US !!! TSG will get a nice play :-) no chance nobody will get our shares on these levels :D José | josedelavega |
