They may not crazy, they may know something.

Perhaps AA will launch the new service properly with media support on the 1st June, to give them some run up into the start of the summer staycation season which must be a peak period for them.

Either way, still don’t think we will break 24p mid price without news. Prove me wrong!

Blondie, AA year end isn’t Dec it’s Jan 31st... Also, you really think they would place an order for 500k units?! You have to be kidding.

Wonder how many shares will change hands in the meantime... not many would be my bet.

If I didn't have so much tied up here, I would go away and come back mid-July. But I can't seem to help but keep looking.

Agreed, the market will not allow Microlyse to make money until we see some proper news.

Agreed.

We may see something in relation to holdings or options, but I doubt there will be anything meaningful until July, as noted in the last RNS. If the TU suggests a continued upward trend or even shipments to support AA's new Smart breakdown have begun, then we'll likely see an upswing in price. Until then, this doesn't go past 25p, in my opinion.

Looks like are no longer publishing contract wins outside of TU’s.

Fair point. No point in decorating the period with lots of “contract wins” and then on he TU be down yoy etc.

I think the only one we are looking for here that will change it is something like “AA commit to a large initial order of 500,000 units for their new Smart Breakdown offering which will bring Trakm8 profitability of £5m into this year and a further £20m over 5 year on these units alone that basic concept is why I hold on! Not to mention the 6/7 other motor clubs they are launched with around the world!

29th of April was the last news.

Less than a month ago.

We know Trak doesn’t publish much news.

I wonder whether it’s an industry trend, as QTX updates are similarly infrequent and devoid of details.

More likely a fairly muted response to the AA update.

The AA update looks promising and suggests the 2nd generation Car Genie is still under development. This is probably where most of the TRAK resources are going. "Building on extensive customer insights gained from Car Genie, its first generation connected car service, the AA has developed a new and unique product that will dramatically enhance the member experience. Our customer insight survey* revealed that what they want most is to: know immediately what to do if they break down, prevent potential breakdowns, understand their vehicle better and know that the AA are always there to support them.Smart Breakdown works by using a small plug-in device fitted in the member's car which transmits fault information to the AA and then notifies the member. This means the AA can alert the member when they need to take remedial action (for example turning their lights off), therefore preventing a breakdown. When it is not possible to prevent or predict a breakdown, Smart Breakdown will automatically send information about a fault directly to the AA, explaining what is wrong and where the driver is, helping the AA address the problem by sending out a patrol with the right parts to get the driver back on the road faster than ever before.

"TRAK should start building devices for other telematics providers to make use of those empty conveyor belts"

Maybe Watkins considers conveyor belts to be works of art and loves to stare at them lovingly for hours on end. He is an engineer after all. What better than your own private one?

Fair play to Watkins. He maintains that jovial facade despite all the crashing and burning around him. Mind you I bet he can be a right nasty little b*stard away from the cameras. Don't get angry John. Just get your head out of the blooming clouds.

Milking the marketing of the concept, without spending on the actual product. It's an ancient marketing trick.

I suspect the AA's marketing machine is milking the car genie concept for as long as it can. Maybe the AA prefers to keep its car genie roll-out in this twilight zone.
