I don't want to post this on TRIN board.

If a TRIN shareholder and wanting the TXP deal to go through, why would you not sell your TRIN shares now and buy TXP, both eliminating the risk of the LOL offer succeeding and at the same time enhancing the offer TXP has made because of the arbitrage opportunity?

I’m surprised there isn't more selling in TRIN and buying TXP with proceeds and that this opportunity still exists.

That to me is the win win situation, especially if you think TXP will succeed.
It is a low risk play that will soon disappear, because those TXP wells coming onstream will make TXP share price rocket from here IMHO.

When someone gets a terminal disease that will result in a very scary end to their life and they have always been the sort of person that would cross the road to help someone and were devout in their faith from birth, their belief gets tested. If God’s grand plan was to make a good person suffer so much then perhaps the best that person can do is maintain their belief in a superior being but not the one written and approved by a committee of men. It’s doing well though. The first edition must be worth a fortune. On the bright side, the extra omissions at that meeting must have been far lower than those created by the expenses fest at Davos. I always have to be careful writing that place name. I have a tendency to call it Davros. Now there was a leader with a plan.

All as expected today, and with TXP response, it's perfectly logical at this juncture.Good news is that they have declared their offer final. Again, I expected that, but maybe market didnt, so prospect of no increased offer from TXP might bring back more buying.

Dunderheed - fair comment. We did not used to think that about the TRIN assets, but it is not just TRIN BoD failings that have become apparent in recent years. I can certainly see the attraction of the TRIN cash pile for TXP though.

Respectfully though the TRIN assets are a bit "meh" in reality. IMHO.

We fit the bill like Trin & i3 good assets and a poor boardroom.I think if Cascadura was performing consistently we would be vulnerable.

Fellow Canadian O&G company I3E has received a takeover today, if we're not careful, TXP might receive one at these silly prices, just as all the hard work is done.

Is it my imagination but have the minister and heritage signed off a lot quicker for TRIN than TXP regarding "latest" SoA.
I just thought a bit strange considering TXP has such excellent relationships with all the authorities in T&T? IMHO.

Don't disagree but "in theory" why can't lol / TRIN, just run the clock down until January?
Expensive but...IMHO.
EDIT also respectfully, don't know how the irrevocables are related to (RNS) pronouncements / assumptions regarding expected CASCA production profiles.
TXP changed these "late" as well so surely there's got to be some discussion around that as well? IMHO.

The TRIN RNS reads to me as if there is still going to be a problem with the irrevocable undertakings:

"The Acquisition remains subject to certain other Conditions, including .... the approval of Trinity Shareholders at the Court Meeting and General Meeting ...."

May I ask why 37946 was down ticked?
What can have been wrong with any of the above statement?

Interesting TRIN update.
As previously posted, this isn't quite as sown up as some people think, IMHO.
I'd just be happy to get all our ever increasing costs covered but oh, we don't have a divorce settlement.
Another (naive) fine mess you got me into!
IMHO.

H1 accounts are on TXP website, have a read of the cash flow statement.

$10M in operating fund inflows for H1, $8.5M after adjusting for movements in working capital.

Fund flow is the sum of all cash inflows/outflows from and into different financial assets. ....

i do not like them using the term fuds flow ... as it is extremely foggy. one never knows how much in and how much out.... it is a summ ... regarding definition on google

so why using this term instead of revenue, net revenue, free cash flow etc
