In turn, Touch Group said it will be retaining a 27.5 pct stake in Touch
(GOE), which will be renamed Touch Local Ltd.

to be the chief executive officer of Touch Local Ltd.

This is were the money is being made in verticals, its growing month by month at over 38%

After the sale of the business directory service, Touch Group said it will
have achieved its strategy of becoming a single operating company with an
international business-to-business publishing operation that is growing month by
month under the leadership of Dr Theresa Saklatvala, the group's publishing
director.

Capped at just over 4 million

Just got 7 million cash for 75% of local stills owns 25%

Verticals how much is that worth now with a 38% growth say 3 million

so thats 7 million in cash which alone gives 7p a share verticals for free and we still own 27% of local none brainer

Investment

Touch Group PLC, the UK-based multimedia advertising provider with activities
spanning both on-line and print media, is pleased to announce that it has
successfully agreed with Benchmark Capital Europe ("Benchmark") the terms of a
£7m investment into Touch Local (www.touchlocal.com) the local and national
on-line business directory service of the Group (the "Transaction").

The Touch Local business is owned by Touch (GoE) PLC, which to date has been a
wholly owned subsidiary of the Group. As part of the Transaction, Benchmark has
subscribed for shares, which will represent the majority of the issued share
capital of Touch (GoE) PLC on a fully diluted basis. An allocation also has
been made for the management. At the completion of the Transaction, The Touch
Group PLC will have retained an interest in 27.5% of the shares of Touch (GoE)
PLC.

In the year ended 31st December 2005, the investment into the structure and
technology of Touch (GoE) PLC was considerable, with Touch (GoE) PLC delivering
£2.2 million in revenues whilst still being loss making. The invested funds
will enable the management of Touch (GoE) PLC the opportunity to grow the Touch
Local business without financial restraint. Touch (GoE) PLC is to be renamed
Touch Local Limited. Further to the Transaction the Group has entered into
agreements to provide certain facilities and services to Touch Local on an
ongoing basis. Following the completion of the Transaction Tamer Ozmen, has
stepped down as a Director of Touch Group PLC to concentrate on his efforts as
the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Touch Local Limited.

Agreed Pat the balence sheet showed no money left at all.
That was June though, & the point I have been making is that they should be on flat by now, or going forward.
If they were out of money the AGM was the time for the relaunch or whatever.
They said nothing about anything, so we must conclude the cash-flow is no worse & could be getting better now.

Verticles should have a massive value to the media world far beyond the market value of ToU, based on the type of deals I have been noting on this site for months.

As far as I can see with this one no news is good news.
Maybe they would have admitted defeat at the AGM, if they had a real cash -flow crisis, but I still hold the view that the longer we go into the Christmas period the better the cash-flow situation.

An article in the Sunday Times was of some interest & i will look it out, as it seemed to be involving a media giant working in the same area as the Verticles & Briefings.
I remember the general conclusion of the article:
They don't know how it works but they sense its the way to go & there is money in it!!!
