03/3/2024 21:04 | supernumerary "Private suppliers like tly have been there for years, and the waiting lists have only become longer: it's a solution that demonstrably doesn't work." TLY haven't been in Elective Care for years. They started their EC in late 2019. Covid hit 6 months later and EC, for NHS and providers, halted. More or less for around 2 years, which increased the waiting lists. It's only been the last couple of years that EC has picked up again. The NHS are using private companies more and more. "I know it's a lot to ask, but wouldn't it be nice if some rational competent politician came along and cut this Gordian knot?" That shows you have a complete lack of understanding in how the NHS/TLY model works. Both Tories and Labour have advocated using more private providers. The NHS have been using private providers more and more. | sikhthetech
03/3/2024 19:47 | Ironic isn't it? Private suppliers like tly have been there for years, and the waiting lists have only become longer: it's a solution that demonstrably doesn't work. So using them more wouldn't shorten waiting lists, but would increase competition for staff, making recruitment and retention even harder for the entire sector. I know it's a lot to ask, but wouldn't it be nice if some rational competent politician came along and cut this Gordian knot? | supernumerary
03/3/2024 15:06 | Budget on Wednesday. Let's see if the Chancellor announces any new plans/money for the NHS, given it's the GE this year and the govn is committed to reducing waiting times and improving the NHS; I would expect the Chancellor to announce extra for the NHS. The NHS are using private companies more and more to help reduce waiting times. I think whichever party wins the next GE, they will be committed to reducing waiting lists. | sikhthetech

01/3/2024 16:22 | Still a long way to go to bring down NHS England waiting lists. To do so, the NHS will need to be using private providers for a lot more work. NHS waiting lists falling but will stay above pre-Covid levels until 2030, IFS says Length of time patients must wait for A&E care, diagnostic tests, cancer care and surgery will remain high, report predicts "However, in sobering news for the Conservatives and Labour, the thinktank also said that whoever forms the next government will not get the waiting list back down to pre-pandemic levels by the end of the next parliament, which is likely to run until the end of 2029. The length of time patients are forced to wait for treatments such as A&E care, diagnostic tests and cancer care, as well as planned surgery – already the worst on record – are also likely to remain frustratingly long. In January last year the prime minister said that “NHS waiting lists will fall and people will get the care they need more quickly” was one of the five promises he asked voters to judge him by. However, he admitted recently that he had not fulfilled that promise. The waiting list stood at 7.2m when he made the commitment but by December it had risen to 7.6m. Sunak blamed strikes by NHS staff since December 2022, which have forced hospitals to rearrange 1.4m operations and outpatient appointments. The size of the waiting list, which covers procedures patients are waiting for under the NHS’s referral to treatment scheme, has fallen in each of the past three months, from 7.8m to 7.6m. That is primarily because hospitals have made determined efforts to tackle the backlog, for example by putting on extra sessions of surgery in the evenings and at weekends." | sikhthetech

17/2/2024 11:22 | Jeeze, what a rampfest this has become. I think anyone gambling on this is thinking it's gone so low it can't go lower. Well it can easily go to 0 of course. And from my reading of the current cash position (and no doubt the ceo or whatever who's just dome a runner) it may well be on course to do that. A gamble for kids who haven't graduated from the uni of hard knocks ... yet. | pierre oreilly
17/2/2024 11:20 | And frankly 1GW it’s none of your business but SNG and TLY were exceptionally good winners for me! I haven’t seen your sells documented anywhere but frankly I couldn’t care less. I wish you good luck with your investments…. | nobbygnome
17/2/2024 11:07 | Really, nobby, you're going to go to other investments? I sold out of TLY on 6th November 2019, and documented it at the time. The chart below shows how TLY (in black) has fared since then compared to byotrol (in blue) and a couple of the ones you're most associated with - STX (in mustard) and MIN (in cyan). I could have added SNG as well but its covid spike dwarfs the others. The point is they have all performed badly over that time frame and the only way to have made money (from being long) on this particular set of stocks is to have traded well. Since you tend to disclose a lot of buys but hardly any sells (at least at the time you sell) there's no real public evidence of how successful you may have been at market timing, but plenty of evidence of your poor long-term picks. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com -------------------- 1gw - 06 Nov 2019 - 08:48:11 - 11055 of 21108 Totally Health - 2014 onwards - TLY I've sold the rest of my holding this morning. I can't see sufficient reason to hold given those results and the run-up in shareprice ahead of them. ... | 1gw
17/2/2024 07:27 | Yes 1GW is an incredibly sad poster and clearly envious as he missed out on making a large amount of money on TLY because of his fake news investigation. The irony always was his favourite investment BYOT was suspended for accounting irregularities but of course that was all fine…..you really couldn’t make it up! | nobbygnome

16/2/2024 16:24 | Well said Spurs, desperate stuff. | microscope
16/2/2024 15:25 | It's really not difficult to search advfn spursspurs. But I could have used the post below instead which is a bit more recent. The point I was trying to make is that it's a bit rich of nobby to have a go at someone for missing out on a short-term bounce when he's left a trail of evidence about his own inept calls on TLY over a long period of time. -------------------- Nobbygnome - 05 Jul 2022 - 07:16:56 - 18938 of 21067 Likewise I bought more yesterday at 45p | 1gw
16/2/2024 14:38 | How's the market cap looking now, nobby? -------------------- Nobbygnome - 11 Jun 2021 - 19:13:04 - 17813 of 21067 Well if nothing else the cash position suggests the results will be excellent. What a great company this is. Right place at the right time.....and still only a market cap of £74 million.... | 1gw
16/2/2024 13:34 | Just about 75% up now as 1GW misses out yet again because of his fake news investigations! | nobbygnome
16/2/2024 11:40 | Sold some above by 7.2p target but gonna keep some too | parob
16/2/2024 11:11 | I think it will drop below 5p , revenues down each year. Only AIM healthcare company I think will do well APH because YTY basis revenues up , profit up & pays dividends | blackhorse23
16/2/2024 10:32 | Very nice :) | parob |
