If the pattern follows the same as last year then Titon's results could be out tomorrow.

Given the still low valuation, recent share price appreciation, current strong economic data and the last positive trading statement I hope it will be a good day.

This can only be good for holders of Titon, I'm very comfortable sitting on my hands and let a year or two go by and watch this one go up. Go on Mr. Cairney and keep holding the UK fort. As always do your own research before buying.

Hi Kombimatec, I know the Company very well and have been a shareholder but the last time I researched them there was no margin of safety so I walked away.

SIXH are still cheap in spite of them being subject to a takeover.

Thanks K-it's interesting that you're witnessing an upturn as there were great figures in September for UK housing starts and then later social housing new build registrations both key indicators for the Company. I had hoped that there might be other similiar companies experiencing an upturn. Someone suggested Ensor but it's not great value and it's roughly three bagged already. I think I'm going to be very hard pushed to find another Company anything like as cheap as Titon,

The reasons for my investment here was based on the low valuation, the reported progress made in Asia and the fact that I have noticed an upturn in the UK market as we operate also in this same market area. Confidence in the UK market can also be witnessed by Safestyle joining aim. I tried to buy more today but only managed 2500.

No WD, I don't think anyone ever seriously thought that this Company was ever in any danger of going under. They've always kept a very tight rein on costs and have always had a strong balance sheet with a large net cash position. Or maybe that was the perception in 2008 but the reality was different for whose who researched the Company in depth- maybe level 1 v level 2 thinking. I would never have become involved in this Company if I thought there was the remotest possibility of insolvency or there wasn't a substantial margin of safety on offer.

I think the undervaluation is a legacy of the time in 2008 or so , when there looked a reasonable prospect that it was going under. Clearly 2013 is a different landscape but sentiments remain.

Hi Kombimatec-welcome aboard, BTW what made you decide to take the plunge eg value, cheapness, recover in key markets or just a rising share price?

These have been on my watch list and I bought 6000 yesterday not expecting a bounce so quickly. Obviously not a lot of stock about.

My pleasure but thank me when it goes through £1. IMHO the current valuation is absolutely ridiculous, it's just way, way undervalued.

GP-it will, I'm sure.It never ceases to amaze me just how inefficient the market is in smaller Company shares.Incredible, really. The information is out there.........all you have to do is to be prepared to look but I think the vast majority of Investors can't be bothered to search.

Thanks Glen, I'd like that very much and I look forward to it.I think there is probably more than three. If the truth be told,Value Investing is a lonely business, it's as though we're speaking a different dialect or with a different accent.

Re AGM-bring some local produce as a gift. I'll look out for someone driving a Tractor, wearing wellington boots and chewing a straw!Actually I have a confession to make that I've never been to a AGM and only ever contacted a Company once. I just don't feel that I need to speak to or visit Companies or attend meetings. Having said that I'll make a point of attending an AGM sometime in the future to meet some diehard Value Investors-they won't hard to spot as they'll be lonely, solitary types standing in the corner of a room alone.

best wishes

Thanks, Rainmaker. It looks as though we have three shareholdings in common: Titon, Northamber and Mallett. Perhaps we'll bump into each other at an AGM - if they'll let a country bumpkin in!

Thanks Glen, it's my fault, I take full responsibility. A wonderful, balanced and comprehensive piece on Mallett-I'm not the only one with strong work ethic,a prerequisite for successful investing .Let me answers those questions on the relevant Mallett thread when I have a chance.Meanwhile looking forward to Titon's results and an increase in the 50p dividend now that Office of National Statistics have shown a sharp increase in housing starts and likewise with the NCB for new build registrations for Social Housing. It will be nice to have some good news for a change.Final results due next month.

I'm sorry. It is just that we started the conversation about Mallett here. I'll put future Mallett comments on Mallett's BB
