Tissue Regenix Future In Doubt As It Pursues Funding OptionsWed, 22nd Jan 2020 09:27(Alliance News) - Tissue Regenix Group PLC said Wednesday annual earnings will be in line with expectations, though the medical devices maker warned sufficient funding beyond April this year is not guaranteed.Shares in the company were 19% lower at 1.41 pence each in London on Wednesday morning. The Leeds-based firm said its cash position of GBP2.4 million, which includes a GBP1 million revolving credit facility from lenders Midcap Financial Trust, is enough to support working capital needs until April.Thereafter however Tissue Regenix said it would need extra funding. The firm explained: "The company continues to experience significant constraints on its working capital however the board believes the available cash runway will continue to support the working capital requirement of the company until the end of April. As a result of this, as previously announced, the board is seeking to secure alternative funding in the near future which may or may not be forthcoming."During the fourth quarter of the year to December 31, the company laid off 18 employees as part of a restructuring.Tissue added: "These changes along with other cash management initiatives have allowed the cash runway of the business to be extended."For 2019, the company expects revenue to grow 12% to GBP13 million from GBP11.6 million the year before, in line with expectations.Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation are also expected to be in line with expectations.By Eric Cunha; ericcunha@alliancenews.comCopyright 2020 Alliance News Limited. We knew they were looking at 'recapitalisation' (that can be via placing, rights issue, disposals/divestments) but they've already demonstrated they can expand cash runway in meantime whilst they consider best options

TRX is only at 1.5p because of Woodford overhang

NAV/share is 3p+

Typically in growth industries and market-leading Companies tend to trade at premia to NAV because that is what a new entrant would have to pay to replicate that position

So we should be looking at a share price of 6p+

The fact the Chairman John Samuel bought at 10p is a further signal that value is SIGNIFICANTLY in excess of 1.5p here

There is so much that is hollow spouted on this Board.

Simple facts:

Demand for TRX products exceeds supply

In April it may look for a financial injection. If so it can raise money in many ways for example:

Equity, or

Borrowing, or

a Combination of both, or

Find a Buy in Partner.

TRX is very well positioned imho. Don't be swayed either way by me or others do your own research and if you find something better let me know!

Anyone with an ounce of common sense would know if a placing was going to happen it would have happened today along with the trading update and higher share price. It’s obvious they are looking at other options. NOT A PLACING. This company will do well, by year end the share price will be much much higher than now. TRX is going to do well... Ignore the idiots

No.I think it was a WIP update. The announcement effectively provides a little more substance on what we already know. Production output is slightly disappointing, cash burn encouraging. The qualifying statements contained within the RNs are compliance. IMO the Chair believes things will be considerably better.

*Puts tin foil hat on*

Anyone else feel the RNS' message was good but worded in a way to cause initial panic for shares to leave weak hands and land in the by-standing big boys hands?

Will be interesting if there to see if any TR1s come from this dip.

Where has ANYONE other than you made wild predictions? I have referred back to stated facts. I could sell today, or indeed yesterday at a material profit. Today we have a WIP announcement. Not much different from the one made 3 months ago. Do I believe they will raise cash by a fund raise , absolutely. Do I think mid term that means we will be multiples of today?Well, that is why I invested. Invested. Not trad.

Kind of depends on amount of dilution and the placing price. People should make money even at this level with patience

All that ramping and the company is in need to cashPlacing is coming and no doubt the mms have been forward selling the placing stock which is what has caused the rise with newbies and gamblers jumping in. Then when the news comes the price will collapse further

Three things Reducing costs base, increasing productively. These changes take time to impact the numbers Cash reserves. Cash burn slowing, supportive lender , but cash is needed, now slightly later than announced 3 months agoThe disclaimer about funding is standard. Overdone sell off. MMS playing for fear.

Given the devaluation of sterling against the dollar in 2019 over 2018 the 12pc revenue increase not all that great but the reasons have been well explained.
I have joined up in the last fortnight knowing full well that an equity raise will be needed and no surprise that Midcap today repeat what they said in November that tranches 2 and 3 are dependant on recapitalisation.
Given the cash burn in November and December I expect this sooner rather than later.
An interesting corporate finance question:trade off getting expensive debt or raising equity at a low share price in devalued sterling.
