thanks to Thebottomfeeder : described as swiveling back and forth as crowds passed & its ability to scan a large crowd without disrupting the flow of traffic or requiring a line to form
Just to let shareholders and potential investors in ThruVision know that the management team will be exhibiting and presenting on the second day of the two day Mello London investor conference in Chiswick London W4 on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th November and there will be an opportunity to take part in a Q&A at the end of each presentation. These are just a few of the companies taking part... There will also be lots of quality keynote speakers, panel sessions and round table discussions looking at investment strategies & portfolio diversification plus sessions on.... How does a market maker work your share trades? What is undertaken in a company audit? What is hidden on the dark web? & how can retail investors get access to placings? If you would like to join the thousand investors at the event you can gain 30% discount on your ticket by entering the code ADVFN30 when you purchase your ticket.
thanks Thebottomfeeder :
09-08-19 : "With over 300 units now sold, and manufacturing underway in both the UK and US, Thruvision has been successfully deployed in 18 countries and is being used for facility protection, customs and border control, mass transit and aviation security, and public area security screening. Thruvision is working with the US and British Governments to field the technology operationally after extensive testing that has proved its effectiveness." number of units sold seems to be rising nicely !

cheers Thebottomfeeder - good live demo :
Today's RNS (Reach) is pleasing not so much for the decent chunk of revenue - about 30% of expected 2018/19 revenue (not including future support) - but, as Colin Evans says: ".... a growing number of leading US government organisations recognising the proven performance of our technology." Initial orders for new hi-tech kit can't be taken as indicating a committed future customer but subsequent repeat orders following its 'use for real' are significant. The three awards mentioned today are all in that category. For the US INL Bureau and for Philippines airports, and also for Los Angeles Airport assuming some highly likely consultation with current users Los Angeles Metro. That the US INL Bureau should now award a framework purchasing agreement shows they give THRU an additional level of credibility: not just 'effective kit', but a company they can work with for the future. I'm happy to take the words of the RNS: "strategically important contract awards" at face value. Lest I seem too starry-eyed today, I hold to the thought of my previous post: "trusting .........some of the substantial pending opportunities will come good to fulfill the need for the claimed manufacturing capacity of 240 units pa." Indeed needed before meaningful profits. All IMO, no advice offered. DYOR
Re today's Trading Statement. Momentum in the markets and pipelines is perhaps ok, but yet to show in the actual unit sales growth needed for movement towards profit. My post after the H1 Results, questioning whether the 70% increase in H2 sales over H1 that my rough calculations showed as needed for Operating Break-even could be achieved, proved regrettably correct. In fact a decline from 59 to 50 units - not worth bothering with further sums on that basis. I’m retaining my very modest holding based on trusting that new and repeat orders will continue to grow as the machines prove their worth and that some of the substantial pending opportunities will come good to fulfil the need for the claimed manufacturing capacity of 240 units pa. All IMO, no advice offered. DYOR
Kenya order ! :
Interesting developments: be interesting to see next trading statement, which i understand is overdue...
Did anyone see that Thruvision won the award for best new security product at recent industry
Re Parliamentary Petition to Ban Naked Shorting of AIM shares. Some may know that Versarien (VRS) recently suffered a major shorting attack. It included a plague of baseless, false and misleading posts on ADVFN and Twitter. A petition to Parliament, as above, was started on the VRS thread and gathered over 1,000 signatures in its first day. Naked shorting potentially applies to all shares. As a current poster here I'm passing the basic post on, as under, and hoping THRU people will give it their attention and hopefully add to the signatures. It is simple, quick and painless. Thank you. From the original post ________________ ............but nothing will change unless we do something about it. The EU wanted all members to ban this practice but the UK declined to do so and this is unacceptable. Germany, Italy, France and Spain made this practice illegal and the UK should do the same. There is a need for hedging but not selling shares that you do not own outright. I have therefore started a petition but it may be pie in the sky. It needs 10,000 signatures before the government will respond to the subject but a massive 100,000 before they will debate it. If you support this change then it needs to be all of us - and all of our friends - and all of our friends' friends that we do not even know to sign this petition. Please sign it yourself and then and pass the link to as many friends as possible with a quick, very short explanation. Email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn are all good media vehicles. We need 100,000 by September. hTTps:// Thank you.
Thruvision Capital Markets Day Presentation :
Ignore my post above; just received the response below to my attempted registration from a senior person at THRU. Hmmm......what have got to hide? Don't want the wrong sort of questions? I will need some extremely persuasive presentation slides before adding to my holding now. ________ "Dear XXXX, Many thanks for your email and your interest in Thruvision Group plc. However I must advise that we are not able to entertain private investors at the Capital Markets Day. The day is structured as a presentation to those fully authorised to conduct investment management business by the FCA and accordingly we are not able to invite private investors. The presentation will be posted on our website at the conclusion of the meetings and we are of course happy to answer any queries you may have by e mail Kind Regards,
EDIT: IGNORE THIS POST. SEE THE NEXT ONE. Who else is thinking of attending and, if so, on which day? IMO personal interaction/observation is usually helpful beyond presentation slides. "Capital Markets Day for analysts and investors on 12 and 13 February 2019. The Group will be running similar sessions on both days, starting at 2.00pm GMT." The event will be hosted by Colin Evans, Managing Director, and will include an update on recent progress, a technology demonstration and a tour of the Group's production facilities. No material new information will be provided, and the presentation will be available on Thruvision's website.... The sessions will be held at Thruvision's Milton Park headquarters: 121 Olympic Avenue, Milton Park, Abingdon, OX14 4SA. For more information, or to register your interest in attending one of the days, please contact:

Interims out and no comments until this minor effort? It's said that quiet boards are the best but.....? My comments are based on a broad look and a modest holding. I don't see the basis for an in-depth analysis in these Interims, although some more competent or informed may well do so. Anyway, I see THRU as now having scrambled to its feet and beginning to perform. I don't doubt that the increased sales and engineering spend was justified and they seem to be earning their keep. How the "share based payments" relate, and to whom, we are not told. Assuming the LBT continues for a while at the same rate of say £1.6m for the year, the cash pot seems adequate for a good while yet. My simple basic calculations tell me, assuming the same Rev per unit and Gross Margin, that sales of 102 units would have been required for Operating Break Even. The sales projections are positive, with quality customers identified. Some seem to have good potential for increasing the number of units they have acquired but whether a 70% increase in unit sales in H2 is likely, only the company knows. Somehow that seems rich to me, given that "pent up demand" may have been satisfied for now in H1. No mention of post-period events, and the US TSA concept planning contract announced is unlikely to be material in itself, whatever the substantial potential longer term benefits. Altogether, I don't see any reason to sell and, although I see the next half as likely to bring only modest progress, the longer term potential remains strong enough for me to hold on. All IMO, no advice offered and DYOR.
