Lock down on travel - So potentially massive reduction in current market potential and with many countries banning al travellers - including business travellers and trade shows being cancelled daily sales and presentation opportuities melting faster than an ice cream cone in the middle of summer (imo)

09-08-19 :

"With over 300 units now sold, and manufacturing underway in both the UK and US, Thruvision has been successfully deployed in 18 countries and is being used for facility protection, customs and border control, mass transit and aviation security, and public area security screening. Thruvision is working with the US and British Governments to field the technology operationally after extensive testing that has proved its effectiveness."

number of units sold seems to be rising nicely !

Today's RNS (Reach) is pleasing not so much for the decent chunk of revenue - about 30% of expected 2018/19 revenue (not including future support) - but, as Colin Evans says: ".... a growing number of leading US government organisations recognising the proven performance of our technology."

Initial orders for new hi-tech kit can't be taken as indicating a committed future customer but subsequent repeat orders following its 'use for real' are significant. The three awards mentioned today are all in that category. For the US INL Bureau and for Philippines airports, and also for Los Angeles Airport assuming some highly likely consultation with current users Los Angeles Metro.

That the US INL Bureau should now award a framework purchasing agreement shows they give THRU an additional level of credibility: not just 'effective kit', but a company they can work with for the future.

I'm happy to take the words of the RNS: "strategically important contract awards" at face value.

Lest I seem too starry-eyed today, I hold to the thought of my previous post: "trusting .........some of the substantial pending opportunities will come good to fulfill the need for the claimed manufacturing capacity of 240 units pa." Indeed needed before meaningful profits.

All IMO, no advice offered. DYOR

Re today's Trading Statement.

Momentum in the markets and pipelines is perhaps ok, but yet to show in the actual unit sales growth needed for movement towards profit. My post after the H1 Results, questioning whether the 70% increase in H2 sales over H1 that my rough calculations showed as needed for Operating Break-even could be achieved, proved regrettably correct. In fact a decline from 59 to 50 units - not worth bothering with further sums on that basis.

I’m retaining my very modest holding based on trusting that new and repeat orders will continue to grow as the machines prove their worth and that some of the substantial pending opportunities will come good to fulfil the need for the claimed manufacturing capacity of 240 units pa.

All IMO, no advice offered. DYOR
