15/11/2007 22:33 | This really is one of the quietest boards on ADVFN but a gem of a company in my view having been a shareholder for nearly four years now. Did anyone who may have accidentally fallen into here attend the AGM today by any chance?? | davidosh
21/9/2007 10:30 | Should do well out of the Olympic games ( as will T.Clarke) but that is a long way off .........both are a superb example of the excellence that is left in UK manufacturing.....Ca | bench2
20/9/2007 12:13 | Very nice too. I wonder where they can go from here? Can they continue to squeeze ever more profit from turnover that's only up slightly ahead of inflation? | martinc
20/9/2007 10:38 | absolutely superb results too.... Highlights: * Turnover £46.5m (2006: £44.2m) 5% increase * Export sales £7.3m (2006: £6.1m) 19% increase * Operating profit before exceptional items of £8.1m (2006: £7.3m) 12% increase * Profit before tax of £9.1m (2006: £7.4m) 22% increase * Basic earnings per share 57.9p (2006: 43.8p) 32% increase * Strong operating cash flow * Total interim and final dividend 13.25p (2006: 12p) 10.4% increase * Pension scheme deficit eliminated at 30 June 2007 Andrew Thorpe, Chairman said: 'The strength of our market depends on others having money to spend on new health centres, office buildings, schools etc ......... we have the products and the enthusiasm ..' Fortunately I have the enthusiasm too....lovely company even if I am sitting in one of the quietest backwaters of ADVFN and little Britain in industry. | davidosh
30/8/2007 14:56 | This has drifted all the way down from £6.65 so over 15% since the start of June .....I appreciate a good few have fallen 10% with little news but this one is such a steady performer and results coming in three weeks ... Any thoughts ?? | davidosh

27/3/2007 08:07 | Nice results this morning: - steady increases in t/o, profit, eps and the humungous net cash position - this despite major contributor Thorlux 'taking a breather' while it's already looking perkier in H2 - Sugg downsized; should stop the drain on profits from that division in future - normal weighting to second half suggests eps for FY at nearly 50p, plus £12.66m cash. Market seems unfazed, as it should be. | westcountryboy
11/2/2007 09:13 | david i wish i had spotted these years ago as they have been a remarkable investment ,but it appears to me that these have a lot further to go ,looks a great chart with very good financial figures what more could you ask for?its been said before that the quieter the bulletin board the better the stock ,so lets enjoy the steady but surely rise in the price . | lingy
11/2/2007 01:37 | No problem lingy .....I have held these three years and been very happy with the growth in turnover, profits and the share price They pay a dividend and the occasional special divi too.....three posts in a year here since my last one but keep your voice down with those CAPS any strays coming here will think it is a rampers stock ...whereas nothing could be further from the truth and all that cash on the balance sheet means the stock does not quite stand out as superb value on first appearances. | davidosh
