Whey Protein price confusion.

There seems to be a confusion between the FUD spreaders and the LTH regarding if whey is going down in price. BOIX seems to focus on only whey protein concentrate.

I can confirm that THG use a combination of all wheys. You only have to go to the website and read the ingredients labels. The trend is downwards across all whey except whey protein concentrate which has Stabilised and is used in products like pure whey. Their more jazzy lines defo use cheaper whey like Eddie hall powder which uses a whey mix of three.

Boix why are you only quoting concentrate? If you are a genuine investor please point out to me where I am wrong in my conclusions here?

As we don’t know the product sales mix it’s impossible therefore to know the margin impact apart from to say it has improved. The level of improvement is to be seen and the trend is downwards. I believe Matt will reiterate guidance for the year at 6 percent but none of us know. It’s such a nonsense to say THG is running out of cash. They have a very liquid position of 500m at hand and 200m undrawn facilities. Whilst the net cash is only 44m we can not ignore the cash at hand which confirms what I said about internet retail. It’s very cash positive as you don’t pay outgoings before you get paid.

By the way Paddy, I'm sure you know by now being such an internationally recognised businessman of how difficult it is for UK listed companies to break into foreign markets and if those markets are not cash generative when considered against monetary measures, what difference will revenue make to adding any shareholder value in future buddy!

...Firstly, a company with sound fundamentals invariably tries to conserve cash when you have such aggressive fiscal policy to contend with and with such swift expansion at THG and its excessive CAPEX, its in a rather precarious position for sustainability but lets hope Sir Allen has learnt a trick or two at Tesco of how not to do things!

...By the way, there's normally trading updates between mid and full year if it wasn't already apparent!

Simmons this management have built from scratch a monster company with some of the leading brands in their field and whilst others are struggling online they continue to grow.

Why don’t you tell us your background and why you should know better than MM and the CFO. What multi billion or multi million pound business have you created or in fact managed ? What is your interest here ? Come on then answer those simple questions. Background and your interest here.
