@finc 2 things.

1. All rental property income is donated to charity.

2. MM and John do not take a salary. Equivalent amount is also donated to charity!

If only the 'press' reported on this!

It’s really not hard to understand. Ingenuity runs all the warehousing for beauty and nutrition who, when split, will put a % of GMV to ingenuity so ingenuity p&l is incurring the cost.
Then they plan to win multi million/ billion GMV clients so will need warehouse space to support but in the accounts only show their % of GMV

Then again perhaps that is MMs intention. There's no denying he is a smart cookie with endless amounts of ambition. Perhaps he is already several steps ahead of what he gets credit for and everything has a reason more than the obvious and is factored in.

A slight concern is the arrangement where by MM is renting all these sites to THG, at a guaranteed annual income for himself, whether it is sensible or profitable for THG to be renting that amount of floor space at this time based on current turnover and realistic growth in the short term. Yes, it shows the ambition, if not warehouse square meterage efficiency of THG. It certainly complicates maters as far as any breakup of the business goes, if the continued rental of these properties is a prerequisite to a deal being done. It certainly would deter some PEs from taking it on.

Giant robot warehouse at centre of THG boss's £14bn expansion plan
30 Apr 2022

The embattled boss of one of Britain's biggest technology firms has drawn up an audacious plan to grow capacity so it can handle a mammoth £14billion of orders a year, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

Matt Moulding, founder and chief executive of THG, formerly known as The Hut Group, has told City investors he is pumping another £200million this year into the strategy, which includes a huge new warehouse in Manchester to handle an expected boom in e-commerce orders.

The automated warehouse, which is already partially operational, can process up to 500,000 items a day. It houses an army of 256 robots scuttling around the clock to pick and pack orders for the group's online beauty websites, including Lookfantastic and Cult Beauty.

THG wants to open similar warehouses in New Jersey and Dubai as part of Moulding's global strategy. It already has sites in Melbourne and Poland.

I hope there is a Twitter style inquisition at the end of this. There should be. The behaviour of some of the media and some investors has been disgusting

Realistically expecting a drop Tuesday, based on US market FAANG drop, we'll see how that trades Monday though. Looking to add a few around 101. Higher lows, bottom def in.

That was my take. Anyone with sense would see more positives and future development than what if negatives

Funny when MM suggested to one of the analysts on call, he should visit THG in Manchester! I bet the analyst was thinking, "you what, you want me to leave the borders of the M25" lol.

I'm sure they are quick to visit 'city friendly' companies. If they have an agenda, why even bother visiting THG!

The scale of operations around Manchester Airport is EPIC, you have to see it for yourself.

A recent visit by Nestle's Global eCommerce Chief was super impressed!! Went onto post on LinkedIn how impressed he was!

Does show desperation as it is unlikely to negatively impact the share price and raises more positives than negatives after thorough investigation.
Odd sign of desperation from someone over a bank holiday weekend?

Yes, someone is getting very worried!

Once the hedge funds have completed their exit and algos switched off, this will rerate quick time.

Game changing news one way or another is COMING VERY SOON.

What’s THG’s annual mainstream media advertising spend? Also The ingenuity model is another huge threat to media revenue streams. Bearing that in mind it’s understandable that THG is under sustained media attack

Mainstream media in all of its guises is fighting for it’s survival. It’s become almost completely agenda focused.

It’s over for mainstream media just like it’s over for shorters of this stock. Anyone with even a modicum of intelligence will see there are far greater gains in riding this share up than there are trying to force it down

Someone is getting more and more desperate. The shackles will have to come off soon, they know it, we know it.

11 days since results, and they come out with this now, make it make sense.

So many positives about THG, never ever printed mmmmm I wonder why lol.

Agenda is very clear. Some friends are hoping to pile in, so if they can just hold it for a bit longer! After explaining and doing there own research they also cant understand the discomnect and decline of 90%!!

From LSE. Today 08:42

Few things they conveniently miss out:

1. Yes, MM receives money from rent, however he donates all rental income to CHARITY! They conveniently miss this point! Can't paint MM as a nice guy can they!

2. On certain time periods of the year the FULL capacity is used! And by opening further fulfillment centres globally, not only capacity increases, you get closer to the consumer. Once orders come in, to set up infrastructure takes TIME. Can't then Tell Nestle or Coca Cola, thanks for signing up, but we will only start selling your products in 2 years time, once our capacity is upto speed! Lmao.

A nice little plug in there for WPP, someone is really getting desperate here, and looks like someone is paying good money for these stories! Can't make it up!

They are getting scared surely. Think most people can see the negatives are just what if or opinion based. The facts are generally positive in my eyes. Easy to miss out important info when you have an agenda
