A more respectable tabled offer closer to £5.17 could see an agreement accepted.
Me and my bird Sheila have seen the books..this could be taken pdq..or it's headed to the FTSE 100 and that £10.36 Level 4 target
Hope this helps

Hut snubs predators as private equity circles: Shares soar after boss Matt Moulding rejects a string of takeover approaches

Shares in The Hut Group bounced after it revealed it has rejected a number of takeover approaches.

Boss Matt Moulding said the struggling online retailer – now known as THG – has received 'numerous' offers over the past few weeks following a near 90 per cent fall in its share price since early last year.

But he insisted 'each and every proposal' was 'unacceptable' and far too low to consider. All were rejected at an early stage.

It is understood that private equity groups Advent International and Leonard Green were among the potential suitors. Apollo has also been linked.

The results also showed its tech and e-commerce arm Ingenuity saw revenues surge by 42 per cent to £194million.

Moulding has previously talked about wanting to spin off Ingenuity – but it is understood that Allen is keen to re-evaluate the company's strategy, which could kibosh plans of a spin-out or sale.

There have been concerns in the City over the power wielded by Moulding, who was executive chairman, chief executive and the largest shareholder when the firm floated. He still owns a 'golden share', which means he is able to veto any takeover offers.

He will give this up later in the year as part of plans to switch THG's listing on the London Stock Exchange to a premium listing where it will be able to be included in the FTSE indexes

Reality check at the Hut: THG's share price finally turns a corner, ALEX BRUMMER
21 Apr 2022

Here is something deserving attention. An analyst update from online beauty and protein site The Hut Group (THG) actually moved a depleted share price upwards.

In spite of above-forecast revenue growth for both major categories, founder Matt Moulding has decided at this stage of the economic cycle, with ingredient prices on an upward spiral (especially for whey), it is better to take the hit on margins than alienate customers by full price recovery.

THG feels better able to absorb some of the hit because its robot warehouse in Manchester is blessed with low labour costs.

The back story is that new chairman Charles Allen appears to be getting a grip on governance and financial pratfalls.

Disclosure that there have been at least two private equity firms, Advent and US retail specialist Leonard Green (once partners with Philip Green in the US), sniffing around will do no harm.

PMSL. Thanks for showing your considerate altruistic nature. You go around showing your kind qualities to the thousands of other companies out there with absolute no interest and no holding... LOL mind boggling.

Now why would someone ever post on a share group where they have zero holding mmmm

----> Some posts are backed by reasonable argument and others are supported by garbage. Reading them is interesting.

Some invesors here need to go to Specsavers you look at the debt figure which means a company is losing money and not profitable/

Unfortunately some investors or indeed gamblers do mot seem to understand what EBITDA really means so they would do well to ignore those figures and concentrate on whether the company had made money after tax or it hasn't.

In this case it hasn't the EBITDA is just an illusion.

---> I hate EBITDA as a metric and ADJUSTED EBITDA even more.
If you look at the accounts for the last few years, there are so many adjustments / exceptional costs that IMHO. many are not one off but more like the costs of running the business.

£m 2019 2020 2021

ADJUSTED EBITDA 111.5 150.8 161.3

EBITDA 69.8 (376.5) 32.0

OPERATING PROFIT / (LOSS) (9.4) (481.8) (137.5)

Please do your own research before making an investment decision.

Sore losers cannot have a sensible conversation they have to resort to gutter talk. I have no position here just folllowing out of interest seeing the phenominal rise based upon a lot of jam tomorrow then the plunge down to earth on reality. The fuel is now running out which is clear from the accounts which some on here cannot see.

So you 2 losers you know who you are would not have invested in Amazon as it used to lose bundles of money what is important is the rate of growth I think doubling the size of the company in 2 years is some goingYou might be happy next year when they declare a profit lol but I think you might be too late the share price is likely to fly or be taken over in the short term and everyone with any sense knows the current price is laughable
