23/4/2022 08:09 | stake building must be in play at the moment and I include Matt Moulding in that too. Watch for Holdings statements and Director buying these coming weeks. Downside looks limited from here. As High st retailers struggle, e-commerce will once again rise to the top. | ![]() imjustdandy
23/4/2022 08:07 | The PE have made indicative offers only. No one has seen the books as that would have prompted an RNS. There is increased speculation because the company has just released numbers into the public domain so the PE will now look at the numbers. PE will try to pull together the previous 6-9 months numbers as that’s the main interest as the rest is just history. No one will what to officially ‘ask to see the books’ and prompt an RNS as the share price would rocket and if there are several PE concerns circling no one will want to be first unless completely ready and fully financed. It was clear on Thursday when the company set out its stall quoting the IPO price adjusted for the deteriorating macro environment and the company progress made since the IPO? | ![]() boix
23/4/2022 07:26 | Acquisitions take time. Due deligence has to be done. Clealy as reported PE firms on site in Feb, they have been going through the books. Multiple bids have already been made, and rebuffed. One of the bighest PE firms in the world about to join the party. Either way fantastic news for LTH's. Company has to deliver something big to stop these bids. If bids start coming in close to fair value, it will be considered, amd the cat will have to be let out the bag. Its clearly apparent, drag down in share price has been 'manipulated' for someone to take THG on the cheap. As we see now they are circling like sharks. I fully expect new bidders to come in, and existing bidders with improved offers. You can sense this from the webinat! IMHO Fascinating weeks ahead. | ![]() london07
23/4/2022 07:11 | That’s just the arrogant times journalist trying to be a funny pric - he does manage to come across as a pric , just you laugh at him and not with him | ![]() sankshiela
23/4/2022 06:05 | In "recent weeks" its founder boss Matt Moulding has been fielding "indicative proposals from numerous parties". And presumably not just from him, despite his GQ interview last year when he hinted he could take the business private, stating that life as a listed company had "sucked from start to finish". So who's been sniffing around this gem of a lean-to, floated at 500p a share in September 2020? And do they include David Cameron: | ![]() imjustdandy
23/4/2022 06:04 | Apparently David Cameron is party to one of the bids for THG. The plot thickens. | ![]() imjustdandy
23/4/2022 05:25 | Results all the more remarkable given headlines Times today re retail sales falls in UK And US | ![]() leoneobull
22/4/2022 23:19 | Also they reported the Betaville article BEFORE the article was actually posted on the Betaville website!!! Either way i'm sure someone will post the full article soon. | ![]() london07
22/4/2022 22:42 | Nothing reported elsewhere at least yet. But I would like to believe but the LSE BB is a rather dubious source. | ![]() boix
22/4/2022 22:38 | Yep agree, would like to read the article, which is obviously what caused the tiny spike! Very specific detail provided though, which is why I reckon they have seen the article! | ![]() london07
22/4/2022 21:42 | Yes ‘inmargin̵ I am sure he/she is a trustworthy fellow but we really need to see the article? Sounds positive but we have been here before. | ![]() boix
22/4/2022 21:27 | From what someone has posted on LSE (Presume they know someone with access!) Carlyle Group are readying a bid for THG in the next few weeks! | ![]() london07
22/4/2022 21:21 | We don’t know what the full details are of the latest betaville article? - number 13 Everything posted is just speculation. Hopefully before Monday someone will tell us although it’s currently behind a £3500 paywall. | ![]() boix
22/4/2022 21:17 | BB - agree. Although there are now many Private Equity eyes on THG, including now Carlyle Group this evening (as per Betaville). Sooner or later one of them are going to come close, where the BOD may seriously consider. Especially if the all trying to trump each other. Interesting weeks ahead. | ![]() london07
22/4/2022 21:09 | I think the cigar smokers, hedgies, media don't like the fact that MM plodding on and focusing on the business. Not surprised in the slightest that multi PE companies are sniffing around THG. Back to 9% EBITDA later this year as automation kicks in, premium listing, shorts closing, softbank update, Ingenuity and beauty spin off. I could go on and on. Roll on Monday :) | ![]() billionarebob
22/4/2022 21:00 | MM doesn't give the finer details and he is roasted by the city saying nobody can understand Ingenuity and its revenue streams. Share price is shorted and collapses over night.MM provides a very slick and detailed webcast covering all diversions in great detail and the city says THG is over complicated. You couldn't make it up ROFL. | ![]() billionarebob

22/4/2022 20:11 | This has many skirtlift jumps to be added to the share price.. just like drips on the way down. That gap fill at £5.17 looks pretty nice!! I think that's what MM is referring to when he's declined current offers being made for the company!! £5.17 is the more likely offer needed to get the nobs itching..either way, it's due a massive price correction.. Can't be accepting anything near £2-£3!!.. got to be above the ipo price at best!! I've seen the books and my nobs beginning to itch... thank you so much for this..lovya xx -------------------- THG (LON:THG) shares rose on speculation that the Direct-to-Consumer specialist could be bought, after CEO Matt Moulding said it had received tentative approaches from possible buyers in recent weeks. "You will all be aware that there has been significant speculation about possible third party interest in THG," Moulding said in a press release accompanying THG's preliminary first-quarter results. "I can confirm that the Board has received indicative proposals from numerous parties in recent weeks. The Board has concluded that each and every proposal to date has been unacceptable, failing to reflect the fair value of the Group, and confirms that THG is not currently in receipt of any approaches." | ![]() sanks
22/4/2022 19:13 | DE Shaw only have 6 million left to close then wooosh | ![]() imjustdandy
22/4/2022 18:56 | Nice 508k at 1.10... I'm guessing this was being filled when it flatlined at 1.08...Director buy?? | ![]() roughandtumbleone
22/4/2022 18:53 | £3500 a quarter!!!! you kidding right. Who the fxxx pays that kind of money (excuse my french)? Actually dont tell me! No wonder we had a 5mins spike. Its the Betaville readers who ploughed in a few million in a few mins. | ![]() london07
22/4/2022 18:49 | Another shorter gone. Clearly games being played this week. The rest will soon follow. Once they all gone, we will know, cus THG will be flying. Still very much under control by the bots. | ![]() london07 |
