28/1/2024 20:21 | Big shift today Frank! Do you think you’ll ever get to teabag toansy? | ![]() walshr123
28/1/2024 19:24 | Bobby's 'Ramp-it-Up' on LSE sees no bounds folks, maybe he's really gunning for that holiday to the Maldives hey! ...Makes a welcome change from living it large in Benidorm or was that SouthEnd on Sea hehe! | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 19:04 | Just for you Hades and maybe it will help with your understanding or lack of but just take a moment and look at what sectors are being heavily shorted except its really not that surprising to some of us here! ... | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 18:45 | No Hades, the reason you won't provide your insights is because you're talking utter nonsense except some of us here have not just joined the bandwagon you seem to call investing but good luck to you too because theres no doubt you're going to need all the bloody help you can get unless you wise up and real soon my dear friend as this really is no jo_ke! | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 18:33 | Is THG not also in the discretionary sector Hades but then surely you would expect it to be affected far more than the wider retail sector, no? | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 18:28 | Tell me as I'm intrigued Hades, who are those winners and losers you see emerging now? ...And you take an interest in some mediocre indicator like consumer sentiment for market direction, come on Hades you can't be this bloody ignorant man surely! ...US will dictate when rates reduce around the world, not the UK but when the US economy is so strong even now with their monetary measures, reducing rates will cause inflation to roar its ugly head again and then theres a risk of hyper inflation as you're already seeing in Turkey and parts of South America so its highly unlikely rates will come down anytime this year and two decades with the era of free money doesn't reverse just like that and the world economy is getting worse not improving my dear friend but as yourself why is China being so proactive with stimulus to kick-start their economy but I'm sure you don't need me to tell why hey! | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 18:19 | The winners are always the survivors that take market share when the sector turns. The list of winners and losers is already emerging. Rates will likely start to decline as early as March/April/May and consumer confidence is already showing positive modest improvements. I could give you further insights but I won’t as I have read your posts and know your new mates. But I wish you luck with your chosen path as you will need it! PS FYI toasty’s business (assuming that’s also not a lie?) whilst discretionary is also extremely niche so not a guide to the sector - IMHO | hades1
28/1/2024 18:17 | Paddy is bang on with blanket shorting wider retail and the fo_ols are the one's who continue to buy thinking otherwise but let's hope that's not you hey! | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 18:12 | So if people purses are stretched and counting the pennies, where do you see the winners in the retail sector coming from Hades especially with such heavy incentivising across the board to lure the masses because that's certainly going increase shareholder value right! ...And look at WOSG who's customers are the more affluent and yet even they're struggling, does that not tell you anything about the health of the wider economy! | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 18:06 | It's a tough retail market but there will be winners and losers as we have already seen. As usual the winners will emerge stronger and fitter and the losers will perish. It’s a classic stock pickers sector. Blanket shorting is a fools game. Nothing new under the sun. | hades1
28/1/2024 17:57 | Ohh my Hades, if you cannot understand how rising rates, in quick succession by the way, will affect the wider economy in due course and predominantly the retail sector which the Commoner turns the cogs too, I have nothing further to say to you buddy because this is just blatant incompetence and an investor like yourself should really know better! ...Paddy, you're over complicating how you perceive the data, keep it simple buddy with economic fundamentals, increasing rates had to slow down the economy except this time they had to try and alleviate inflation too but with two decades of QE and its no longer that simple because cracks have started to appear in the sustainability of the global financial system and exactly what you're seeing today but why do you think our dear establishment is heading towards a digitised economy, blockchain, cryptos or CBDCs will save their blushes because those central bank goons have created everything we see today! ...And whilst Next is holding strong currently, it will also capitulate to the wider economy in due course. What people don't realise is that the US is still going strong in every respect regardless of the actions of the FED thus far and that is a real concern going forward which is why I tell you, don't believe all the hype in the US because there's no fu_ckin way it can continue as it has! | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 16:42 | He offers investment advice too. Hope he’s licensed. | ![]() the imperialist
28/1/2024 16:40 | The Imperialist Yes I agree a surprise listing in the US of both or maybe all three separate divisions would solve all of Matt’s woes instantaneously and fu..k his enemies. | hades1
28/1/2024 16:31 | Yes I do. I repeat his interpretation of the data was incorrect on the majority of his retail shorts and the THG sell/short was actually based on unrelated inside information. Now enough discussion of pond scum. At least everyone now knows what to ignore. Best | hades1
28/1/2024 16:28 | Ohh please Hades!...And you do realise he's involved in E-Com so if anyone's savvy with how best to interpret it, it would be him! | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 16:24 | The online flow data was not his inside knowledge. The inside knowledge he used on both occasions had nothing to do with that paid for data. That data actually proved to be misleading and largely useless to him. Hence the data proved spurious for Currys, Next and many others including THG. The data he was trying to use needs real detail skilled interpretation. | hades1
28/1/2024 16:13 | ...What detailed insider information to tell him that retail sales were going to fall of a cliff hehe! ...It's basic economics to understand that as rising rates become accomodated in the economy, ones disposable income will fall in-line, thereby affecting the wider retail sector and which I informed you all long before Paddy so please get with the fu_ckin program Hades because this level of thinking is just incredible if not rather concerning as an investor! | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 16:06 | “Sounds like a US listing is very much on the cards this year for #THG @LSEplc will lose another solid company. Not surprised being that the Beauty division with the stunning deal of Biossance added, the ever growing Ingenuity & Nutrition are alone worth multiples of current value” | ![]() the imperialist
28/1/2024 16:06 | I don't suck upto noone Walsh and I've also been racially ab_usive here but when I believe someone is being unfairly lambasted, I rise up my dear friend! | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 16:03 | Really and what is that crime Hades because I'm honestly struggling to see it! | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 16:02 | Actually it is a crime……a The online flow data was irrelevant concerning THG and told him little onmost shares hence his losses on many retail shorts - Next, Currys etc etc. | hades1
28/1/2024 15:58 | Look at least he had the common respect to inform you all at near short-term highs regardless of his reasons and ones knowledge is theirs and only theirs but if I recall correctly, Paddy's data clearly demonstrated growth had stalled and was now going backward, the insider information was just an added spark to what he foresaw coming and theres certainly no crime in that folks! | ![]() one_frankel
28/1/2024 15:53 | Yes I am told he posted something after placing his own 1m hedge short and selling his 1m cash position although the post was removed by him moments after after it first appeared. I didn’t see the post myself although confirmed by others and got no response to messages. I am told this post actually omitted any of the details of the inside knowledge just told people to sell - Expecting all to trust Toasty! At that point it was his interest to spread it far and wide whilst trying to avoid prison! I think we’ve found Matt’s ‘pond scum’. LOLs | hades1 |
