Im not convinced shorts will increase more here. The only declared short above 0.5% closed one third of their short after the plunge....why are the usual shorting hedgies not on short tracker? Plenty of shares with stock on loan below 0.5%. Peak trading season so they looking to close before end of November. Funny coincidence the negative stories coming out now......

Might be worth a risky punt at 100p but wouldn’t pay more

The Hut Group (THG) faces a fresh headache as four former employees in America accuse the online beauty and nutrition retailer of firing them for trying to blow the whistle on health and safety breaches.Nick Bodinet, Donald McEntire, Joseph McGaughey and Jason Young worked at THG's manufacturing and distribution facility in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, which opened in 2016. They are suing THG for breach of contract and wrongful dismissal, jointly claiming $30 million (£22 million). The claim was filed in July 2020, two months before THG floated on the stock market for £5.4 billion. The shares initially shot up but have crashed in recent months as investors have been spooked by governance concerns about the powerful role of founder Matt Moulding, and by growth prospects for THG's Ingenuity e-commerce engine. Last weekend, Moulding told GQ magazine that being listed had "just sucked from start to finish".

Unlikely unless they continue to burn through their remaining cash, but if they think they buy growth then that will become a problem. Probably already vastly overpaid for some of those acquisitions, time will tell. But the hubris of MM. a bigger issue, he needs to be more contrite and respect the wishes of investors. He is not the owner of this company, and his PR advisors and lenders need to spell it out to him that will not tolerate anymore frivolity and brash statements about people trying to nail him and the company. He created the uncertainty by being too nonchalant.

Mate the fundamentals are sound and the ceo still has his original backers in all forms so it is just a buy and hold. A few news articles only stick for a period of time unless the company is in serious financial danger which isnt the case here.Sir terry (ex tesco chair)Sir stuart (ex ocado chair)Goldman, sofina, blackrock, liberum capital and now t rowe to boot.Say what you want bout blackrock, they still kept half.Follow the money price is just one aspect that the easiest one for the ones with the deepest poxkets to control

Took my loss last week and wait until the short attack is over.
Have seen this happen before so no knowing where the bottom will be.
Sad that this is still allowed to happen.
Long term buy and holds no more for me.
See the same happening with GGP.

This news from the US lawsuit is unconcerning unless the US govt gets involved over the working without a green card claim.Im going to look at this lawsuit more closely as media focus on this might cause issues even if it is old news

Shah better be very careful that another investigative journalist doesn’t break rank from the journalistic old boys club and investigate him and his possible financial ties to the hedge funds. Same crew pulled exactly the same stunt on boohoo. Lay your shorts gentlemen, get a really negative “independent” research note commissioned (this time by a 26 year old… yes a 26 year old), accelerate the shorting through super aggressive algo trades, then hit the press week after week to keep the selling momentum going until a big institution (blackrock) capitulates, followed by stops, margin traders and panickers, keep the pressure up for 4-6 weeks during the target’s quiet period and close out before any trading update. The fraud involved here is off the charts. Why the FCA does nothing is beyond me…oh yes, most of the participants are offshore and beyond their reach…

Ps the guy behind p squared is ex Lehman. Funny that…
