Another damming article in the Times this morning about being sued for health and safety breaches at their US facilities. What's more damming are the comments about the culture at the group. This is not going to end well.

Exactly, that's total drivel. Seems that the rampers will stop at nothing to mislead. The last half year result said that Adjusted Group EBITDA of GBP81.2m. So say £160m for the year vs a £2,3 Bn market cap, so more like a P/E ratio of 14 (and could be a lot less once all the adjustments have been made as they were negative cash flow due to all the "investments" they made)

The company now at this level is on 1.5x earnings now . This is very cheap at this level . SoftBank has been having problems as well financially. Lost billions lately plus they could get investigated with the losses .Buying THG would be a good investment long term . They could make billions of the acquisition of THG . Take some of the heat of them.MM should have bought shares as well . To give confidence back to company . 200,000k of shares would have been nothing to him.

Ingenuity split into a private ltd 20% by softbank and 80% owned by THG isnt a bad set up which it what I understood it was supposed to be before they announced spinning off thg beauty into its own plc. After they announced about thg beauty thats when it was mentioned about ingenuity staying part of THG... i think

Yeah if they are going to take it private it will be softbank stumping up the cash for a larger stake of the whole business.

SoftBank invest in technology- why would they want a beauty business
Split will happen if SoftBank investment goes in
Or if it doesn’t, unlikely there will be a split
Kinda what MM said in the GQ article but with SoftBank MD on board, more likely than not that sB invest

SoftBank should buy the whole company now. It will get the whole 5 divisions . 4.5 billion . It would be a bargain at that price

Thanks for that link . There is a big worry about spinning off the Beauty side of business . I feel that's why we have halved in price . They have priced the company without the Beauty division . Fair value is about £3 now . SoftBank offering to invest . In THG with the valuation of 4.5 billion is 100% before this sell off the Beauty division. Company is Valued at approx just over 2 billion now . WHAY DOES SOFTBANK NOT BUY THE LOT NOW FOR SAMR PRICE .. Offer 4.5 billion for the complete company so about £4 a share everyone happy then . The get all 5 Division's well WHAT A DEAL SO SIMPLE BUT CITY DOES NOT DO SIMPLE

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/stay-at-home-shoppers-lift-online-sales-to-record-high-g0rztx9fvOnline spending hit a record high of £10 billion in July, the highest monthly figure this year, as the pandemic accelerated the shift away from the high street. The increase brings the total spent online in the UK this year to £64.9 billion, a rise of 18 per cent compared with the same period last year and 56 per cent higher year-on-year than in 2019, according to the Adobe Digital Economy Index. The research also found inflation online last month rose 2.8 per cent, year-on-year, amid a spike in demand and pressure on supply chains.

This does look like one big SCAM to be honest . The way it has fallen and so quickly the CITY will get away with it . Still think Rowe company in with BR .. Now they will March it back up soon . As they know they will not get investigated they knew it would collapse . Once they RNS there Dump of stock .

SoftBank managing director Dr Andreas Hansson is joining the THG board after SoftBank took a $730m stake in THG in a joint venture deal earlier this year. The deal looked to see the Ingenuity arm of the business spun off within 15 months. Dr. Andreas Hansson, THG non-executive director, says: "I am delighted to be joining the THG Board. Since our initial investment, the technological capability of Ingenuity has proven compelling for several portfolio companies. There is a clear need for a global, purpose-built and end-to-end ecommerce platform. We believe that Ingenuity has the right suite of products to serve this market, and we continue to be confident about our investment in THG and the Ingenuity investment opportunity."

My average is under 2 quid. October and November are peak trading months for THG. Ingenuity may or may not be a winner but their core business is doing well and the share price has fallen so far so quickly , it is in any case thrown in for free. One set of decent trading numbers, this will bounce like HUR, DEB and Carillion
