25/3/2014 09:38 | Have had a chance to look a little more into today's results, and I think they are encouraging for 2014 financial year. As long as TMMG remain free of any unforeseen negatives like the loss of B&Q which effected H1 of 2013, then we might see an ahead update at some point. They did say today that "Early signs for 2014 are very positive" At first glance of results I also thought the EPS was a slight miss at 4.45p vs estimated 4.70p, but then I noticed that the basic EPS figure was 4.82p, and I believe that brokers work on basic figures rather than diluted. (Pleased to be corrected if wrong) Yet TMMG highlighted the diluted figure of 4.45p, which could explain the initial drop? But plenty of positives today, such as continuing reduction in bank debt, resumed dividend payment and a bullish tone to the ouitlook in 2014. Happy to be holding here. ic2... | interceptor2
25/3/2014 08:57 | EPS were 4.5p vs 4.7 forecast. May explain the drop. | dr biotech
25/3/2014 08:26 | Outsiders will have to remember H1 was poor due to losing B&Q and some contract delays. Knock H1 off full-year numbers and EPS and cashflow looks quite strong for H2 at first glance. Will have to take some time to go through them, though, and then bear in mind that maybe those contract delays flattered H2. It was a respectable year after a poor start, anyway. | aleman

19/3/2014 09:59 | interceptor2 "if only I could trade using hindsight ;O)" How rich all of us would be if we could do that :-) However looking at fingers chart (post 673) maybe we can trade with foresight, looking to complete the cup and handle formation to 61.5p after breaking the 50p psychological level,,,,, think we may break that 50p level with a bit of a fair wind on the run up to the next results,,,, IMO | cheshire man
