26/11/2024 18:42 | Peter, it boils down to money. There are many issues that are dependent on the granting of the licence. Once the licence is granted these issues can move forward at pace but until that point, the priority for the company is cash conservation. | tankerton
26/11/2024 18:14 | Tankerton Talking of seismic surveys, I haven't heard anything about how Tethys is getting along with theirs. Apart from it'll be completed in 2025, I believe that must have been announced about 2yrs ago. Maybe longer. | 1399peter
26/11/2024 17:57 | Kazakhstan has reduced it's 2024 forecasts for oil production down from 90.3 million tonnes last year to 88.4 million tonnes this year. There are plans to boost production to 100 million tonnes by 2026. In addition KazMunayGas aims to boost gas production by doing seismic testing at 5 underdeveloped areas in western Kazakhstan in areas not far from Tethys existing and new licences. There is every reason to believe that Tethys licence will be granted and in a timely manner. | tankerton
24/11/2024 16:17 | Hopefully he'll bring some impetus to Tethys otherwise long drawn out processes. Horah! 🎺 | 1399peter
24/11/2024 10:10 | Consider further why a man with such huge influence and fingers in so many pies would be interested in taking such a large stake in lowly Tethys were it not for its growth potential from such a low point. | tankerton
24/11/2024 10:00 | Interesting point Tankerton. | dr3dd
24/11/2024 09:56 | Regarding Rakishev he has worked at KazTransGas, where he eventually became Deputy General Director of Marketing and Commerce. He went on to serve as Marketing Director of Intergas Central Asia CJSC and as First Deputy General Director of KazMunayGas (Kazakhstan’s state-owned oil & gas company and the largest oil & gas company in Central Asia). Consider for a moment just how important his connections with KazMunayGas are at the moment with Tethys negotiating access to their international pipelines and in future growth plans. This guy can open doors with his contacts and influence and that's exactly what Tethys needs right now. | tankerton
23/11/2024 17:18 | From the price we're at now, with a nice big discovery thrown in. It could be better than Bitcoin over the last 5yrs | 1399peter
23/11/2024 10:55 | For me, anyone who loves Jim Henson's contribution to entertainment that much, is ok in my book. Honours Order of Kurmet | 1399peter
23/11/2024 09:34 | At least there is some info about the guy. When Oilysoul forced their way into Tethys there was nothing on the internet about them which was always a bit sussy. | dr3dd
23/11/2024 08:04 | Just had a read up about the Man. Very interesting. And should hopefully prove to be the best thing that's ever happened to Tethys. | 1399peter
23/11/2024 06:35 | Good to have a bit of background on the new investor though. Let's hope he isn't an asset stripper. Take the money and run type. | 1399peter
23/11/2024 06:33 | Any businessman that wanted to get anything done in a reasonably acceptable time, would be considered impatient in Kaz, 😂. | 1399peter
23/11/2024 02:03 | FinCraft: Who sold the shares? Or were new ones allocated? | lunality
23/11/2024 01:28 | Mount Teide I think the problem with us long term holders is every time we think there is light at the end of the tunnel it turns out to be another train. I'm hoping the Tethys cheque comes through thd door before the grim reaper. | cutliff2
23/11/2024 00:40 | t'ton - 'Secondly it could be used as a growth vehicle for Rakishev. Given what I know of this man I would suspect the latter.' c2 - "Depending on market, economic and industry conditions, the business and financial condition of Tethys, and other relevant factors, Fincraft may develop other plans or intentions in the future relating to Tethys" The man is a wealthy entrepreneur.....and a relatively impatient one ...... so, having him join the shareholders register with such a large holding, I would consider to be a very welcome development were I a fellow shareholder. AIMHO/DYOR | mount teide
22/11/2024 23:18 | "Depending on market, economic and industry conditions, the business and financial condition of Tethys, and other relevant factors, Fincraft may develop other plans or intentions in the future relating to Tethys" Make what you want of that paragraph ???? | cutliff2
22/11/2024 23:05 | I know its old news and apologies if already posted. hxxps://www.newswire | cutliff2
22/11/2024 23:00 | Mount Teide. There are two ways this could go. Tethys could grow organically, which would be fine as it would be growing from such a low point that the returns would be substantial. Secondly it could be used as a growth vehicle for Rakishev. Given what I know of this man I would suspect the latter. | tankerton
22/11/2024 22:33 | Kenes Rakishev - in addition to being an activist shareholder in the publicly quoted companies he takes significant investments in, was until very recently President of the Kazakh Boxing Federation - so no shrinking violet and a man who likes to get things done yesterday rather than tomorrow. 'A member of the Forbes List in the country since 2012, Rakishev has championed Kazakhstan's potential in the global economy and is pushing significant investments from here to the USA and Europe, especially in the spaces of energy security in Europe and the mining and hydrocarbon industry.' From his own website. | mount teide
22/11/2024 22:03 | Up on Monday then it is. | dr3dd |
