02/11/2024 13:13 | cutliff2, yes very happy. It has only taken just under 10 years lol. I have just purchased the rights for $1 to turn this whole unbelievable story into a movie. ;-) | dr3dd
02/11/2024 12:05 | Ah Dragon Oil,one of my more pleasant memories. Bought around the £2 mark and got taken private around £9. | cutliff2
02/11/2024 11:50 | I think 200-300 million is a comfortable target in the short term. Tethys may now be off of life support but there will be a period of recovery as the Tethys coffers replenish. What I'm really interested in is what direction the company will go in when it's coffers are overflowing. Will they remain local to Kazakhstan or will they expand in the Caspian region like Dragon Oil did. For the moment we have plenty of good news to look forward to in the short term. | tankerton
02/11/2024 11:06 | Thanks Tankerton. Great news and another Friday evening announcement. You might even get to open your can Peter before Best Before Date expires Looking forward to price activity on Monday to see what happens and wonder if the lost barrels of oil will now turn up again. Nice to see Dr3dd in a good mood 😊 | cutliff2
02/11/2024 10:45 | Anyone any good at valueing oil companies? What do we think the market cap should be next year assuming export production starts pumping and maybe a move to a decent exchange. Currently 61 million usd, hopefully 200-300 if things go well. | ratfan
02/11/2024 06:45 | Thanks Tankerton, one step closer🤞 | j4ckster
02/11/2024 05:58 | Cheers tankerton, I'm going to keep the can of Heineken in the fridge for now, good progress though. | 1399peter
01/11/2024 22:27 | Well that is fantastic news........and on time as well. Ya beat me to it Tankerton. Expect the share price to be down on Monday on such good news!!!! :-) If it is we know it is fixed... I cant believe I am saying this BUT.....WELL DONE TETHYS PETROLEUM MANAGEMENT. NOW WE CAN ALL BE FRIENDS. | dr3dd
01/11/2024 21:51 | Thanks Tankerton, onwards and upwards. | bahamasoil
01/11/2024 21:18 | Tethys Petroleum Press Release: Corporate Update NewsfileNov 1, 2024 4:51 PM EDT Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands--(Newsfile Corp. - November 1, 2024) - Tethys Petroleum Limited (TSXV: TPL) ("Tethys" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has today received the necessary gas flaring permit, a critical milestone in advancing its oil production operations in Kazakhstan. Regulatory Update With this long-anticipated approval in hand, Tethys now moves to the final regulatory step: obtaining the Ecology permit. The Company is hopeful about receiving this permit by November 18, 2024, which will enable the start of its oil production from wells KBD #2, KBD #6, and KBD #7. The Company will continue to actively engage with the Ministry of Energy to expedite the signing of the Production Contract, which will extend the Kul Bas oil field's production period until July 2048 and allow the Company to export oil. With the gas flaring permit now in place, the Company hopes that, after this extended waiting period, the remaining steps, including the approval of the Production Contract application, will proceed in a timely manner. | tankerton
27/10/2024 21:00 | cutliff2 An exchange move up is ruled out at the present time because of costs involved at a time when the company were trying to conserve cash. Obviously post production license and increasing revenues then that is something that could change very quickly. | tankerton
27/10/2024 18:39 | Peter, yes of course. If the bid took into account future growth then it would be a no brainer but that's not going to happen. When the thugs raided the Tethys office and stole all the computers, they thought they could get the company for nothing. Now they are going to have to pay but that doesn't stop them trying an early bid. The best thing for shareholders is to achieve the predicted production and revenue growth and then consider a bid. In the meantime, post license grant, I'm looking forward to a rising share price and the resumption of dividends. | tankerton
27/10/2024 18:21 | Tankerton, If the offer took the years ahead into account and the real amount of oil in the ground and any new discoveries, then it might be a no brainer. But that's getting way ahead of myself. This is Tethys after all and they're in Kaz. Not a country known for it's 100 x baggers | 1399peter
27/10/2024 17:44 | Wonder if they will get all their ducks in a row for the AGM on the 12th of next month. Like Tankerton I thought the flaring go ahead worthy of an announcement but what do I know | cutliff2
27/10/2024 17:08 | Peter we will see but if you can see Tethys being valued at multiples of today's price in the years ahead then the time for a bid coming in would be after the licence is granted. Personally I would like to see a bid come in later rather than sooner but as you say, it will not be down to us. | tankerton
27/10/2024 16:59 | Tankerton, That'll be in the hands of the main shareholders and what they'd be happy with. We wouldn't get any say in it. Can't see Bill being happy with anything less than it's going to be worth though. | 1399peter
27/10/2024 15:26 | Tankerton, You'd like to think they'd hit at least 10k bpd giving them revenue of us$350m PA, or thereabouts and potentially reach a Mk cap of $1b+ They could also find some more oil of course. Success is long overdue. | 1399peter
27/10/2024 11:31 | Peter, I posted some time ago the companies own production and revenue projections. If they get anywhere near those projections then most will be more than happy. We will see but after many years of pain, I now feel that with the granting of the licence we are entering a new era. | tankerton
26/10/2024 16:23 | ...........and I will stop complaining! | dr3dd
26/10/2024 13:11 | Tankerton, Well it's not like we aren't getting one hell of a build up. Let's see if the big reveal actually counts for something we can all say WOW! too. | 1399peter
26/10/2024 11:10 | Peter, in Kazakhstan it has always been about power and control, as such it's always worth knowing who the players are and what pies they have their fingers in. The main thing for Tethys shareholders is that we've seen years of control being wrestled away from it's shareholders but perhaps with the granting of the licence we will finally see why the fight for control of Tethys has been so important. | tankerton
26/10/2024 09:37 | Tankerton, not sure why you have referenced don streu. Unless he has been in charge of seismic survey and has found a shed load and now Chevron are interested in taking us out for $100 a share 😁 | 1399peter |
