Wells and his team underestimated the extent of the damage that would be caused by
Olisol in KZ. Their focus on litigation to resolve the dispute was a failure and their
lack of focus on drilling wells to increase output resulted in near bankruptcy of Tethys.
Perhaps Wells and his team now recognise the importance of avoiding disputes at a local local level and building real relationships in KZ.

There has to be a reason/plan why Wells and his team have spent nearly 4 years achieving nothing but things behind the scenes, that has so far created zero shareholder value......so far.


Hopefully to make a change for the positive.

Yes, major funding for drilling which has not occurred during the last few years !.
NI has to step up to the plate !.

Hopefully the change of name, if that is what is happening, is a sign of a significant company and business restructuring.

The challenges ahead are too big for Tethys. Perhaps it would be wise to e.g. cede control over their oil assets so they can focus on gas. Surely a deal can be done here. Retain a free carry or interest in the oil and wipe the slate clean to get going with the gas.

No point sucking at two things. Let them try to do one thing right.

It looks like Tethys Group would in future be focused only in KZ as the notes in the
financial accounts reveal that the Board intends to dispose of its 18% stake in Georgia.

A logical reason for the special resolution, based on info that we know, would be a special resolution to change the name of the company from Tethys Petroleum to Tethys Group.

There is, as far as I can see, no reason for any special resolution to do with the NI, based on what we know.

Sorry if you have been misled by my ref: to special purpose.
I really meant that " special " has been added to the AGM to finalise the deal with
NI.
The reason for the "special" addition, I think is to get approval for the deal with
NI.
There is no reason to set up an SPV as all that is taking place is that NI obtains
127m shares incl warrants which would increase the existing 508m to 635m shares.

Interesting but irrelevant (and nonsensical within context of Tethys). The Sedar article just says "annual general and special meeting."

It's hguess who phrased it as "special purpose".

Hguess, why would the warrants need a special resolution? Individually they won't give them more than 20% each, so within the rules.....

I think the warrants have already been taken up. Otherwise why call a meeting to incl special purpose and voting deadline for 12 Oct for the Nov meeting.All it needs is the announcement to confirm this.

Another way to look at it:

According to the last shareprice of 1 Canadian cent the market cap was CAD$ 5 million.

A shareprice of 2 cents would mean a market cap of about CAD$ 12 million - that would be a good trick, by selling a chunk of equity at 1 million US dollars they would add CAD$ 7 million to the market cap....

Either way we are talking about low volumes, not many people have been adding/buying for months now.

The shareprice before TSX halting was stuck at 1 cent with a huge spread (50%). While not many people would have sold out at 1 cent there should be sellers at 1.5-2 cent.

I don't think the NI news was positive: A huge chunk of equity for 1 million dollars. What can they do with that apart from keeping the lights on for a bit longer?

The story changes if the warrants are taken up. Only two weeks to see...

I would have thought that the people who wanted to sell would have sold before the TSX halting and before that. The only news we have had since has been in theory airing on the positive side for the company.

My guess is that the broker dealers might price it at 2 to sell and 3 to buy and then make a small killing !.

The buyers from Stockhouse could push the price up to dizzying heights ( sic ).
The sellers from ADVFN could crash the price down !.

Anybody's guess.

Olisol's silence may provide the key to the deal.
Perhaps NI power and influence has kept Oliosl on side finally, which is a positive !.

But not sure who the buyers will be. For sure lots of sellers who have been stuck like all of us. But apart from a punt, who wants to put serious money into this?

So overall volume might be quite low.

The new NI are buying at 2.5 Canadian cents. There are probably going to be a good few shares on sale at 2 cents, seeing as it is 100% increase on last closing.

There is no reason for positivity or confidence so not sure why anyone would pay more than the NI.

My guess is: technical rerated to 2.5, lots of selling at 2, maybe finish at 1.5.

There might be pent up demand at 3 but note that NI is getting new shares ie diluted from 508m to 635m.
Confidence is some way off and more evidence on drilling is vital !.
