14/4/2017 14:00 | 1399Peter - Absolutely agree with you! | stephen loo
14/4/2017 13:58 | I agree that activity in Toronto is low. Because of this, anxiety. There was a decision to leave the Toronto exchange if I understood correctly. Then it was the right decision. Toronto has little business activity compared to London. | stephen loo
14/4/2017 13:54 | hguess I do find it a bit ridiculous that Tethys have not told us exactly how much this will save the company. As none of us really have a clue. | 1399peter
14/4/2017 13:31 | 1399Peter, Redstone64, Thanks for your input. I was just testing the appetite of UK investors !. This was an attempt to continue to maintain a secondary listing on the LSE as some UK investors feel more comfortable trading in a London listed stock exchange. In 2015 Tethys proposed, in a resolution, to delist from TSX on the grounds of low volumes of trading (21%) compared to the LSE ( 79%). Has this changed in 2016 ?. It would have been reasonable to expect management to consult investors prior to the BOD decision to delist from the LSE. My view is that the BOD may not have realised the consequences of the LSE delisting as it has resulted in a loss in the market value ( £m) of the company and a loss of goodwill among UK shareholders in order to save £100k. Let's now look ahead to better times for Tethys and its long suffering shareholders !. | hguess16
14/4/2017 11:37 | Hguess16, while I do see some merit on what you are proposing the costs of setting up would be prohibitive especially as only a handful of PIs may be interested at this point.Given the current state of finances at Tethys with short term funding needed, a sum of £150k a year saving not just in exchange fees but administrative expenses is not insignificant.Perhap | redstone64
14/4/2017 11:28 | My analysts did calculations on the London and Canada Stock Exchange. This is almost the same amount. If you provide your e-mails, I will be able to send you this information. I think that we need to BE ACTIVE. Because we are silent, anything can happen. | stephen loo
14/4/2017 11:24 | I bought shares of Tethys long ago through the Canadian broker ScotiaBank. And all the attempts of management have already achieved no success. They did not agree with any of the investors. Neither with AGR, nor with other investors. I believe that we all need to declare ourselves and our interests. We need to understand what is happening in the company. Despite the fact that I live in Canada, I had some certainty that the London Exchange's activity would be useful for Tethys. Even there are Bill, Kumar, Olisol have enough shares, then we minority shareholders should ask them questions - where they lead the company. I'm ready to invest some more money, but I do not have TRUST. | stephen loo
14/4/2017 10:52 | hguess Sorry I just can't get behind such an idea of bailing out a multimillion pound company and it's backers who probably drive cars worth more than what you are proposing to raise. As much as I dislike having to move my trading account. I don't think my sense of disappointment with this will be helped any by piling more of my money into them. Edit: Tethys should really tell us what the costs are with the LSE listing. | 1399peter
14/4/2017 08:23 | 1399Peter, Tethys is a secondary listing on the LSE and the main listing is on TSX. Tethys is still listed on the LSE. So there is no admission fee. I have just looked at the LSE Website and saw the following info for Annual Fees-UK and international companies. MINIMUM FEE £ INCREMENT PER £M MAX FEE a b c 7000 28 75,000 (for existing issuers) | hguess16
14/4/2017 08:04 | ratfan - 14622 hxxp://www.hl.co.uk/ On which markets can I buy shares? Through Hargreaves Lansdown you can deal thousands of UK, American, Canadian and European shares. North American markets Canadian Venture Exchange Toronto Stock Exchange Never noticed this on the HL site. I talked to HL on the phone and they stated that they are waiting for de-listing details from Tethys before confirming their proposals. | northwestwirral
14/4/2017 07:48 | 1399Peter, This is a one off to Tethys and and an offer to help out with a max of £150k for 10m shares in return !. We cannot be expected as PI's to go any further. It also provides an assurance that we are risking more money to prop up the company until it gets back on its feet !. | hguess16
13/4/2017 22:40 | PDF Obtaining a London Listing - AIM vs Main Market Obtaining a London Listing ... The main market is the London Stock Exchange's principal market for listed companies from the UK ... Cost of listing Minimum: £ ... withersworldwide.com More results Ongoing costs Higher fees for sponsors, auditors, lawyers and non-executive directors in view of greater continuing obligations. Typical cost of maintaining listing is £300,000 - £400,000 p.a. .Lower fees for nomads, auditors, lawyers and non-executive directors in view of lesser continuing obligations. Typical cost of maintaining listing is £150,000 - £250,000 p.a. I would assume we are somewhere between £200-£30 I'm not sure having a whip-round sets a good precedent to be honest. What about next year & the year after lol. | 1399peter
13/4/2017 22:24 | Wrighty46, Neilyb675, Thanks. Based on my knowledge of the new BOD, (with the exception of this episode on delisting), I have confidence that the BOD is trying to turn the company around !. That is my take on performance so far based on consolidation, facing up to Olisol, Rescheduling Cayman debt, and planned drilling of 10 new wells etc. | hguess16
13/4/2017 22:10 | Although I would need a couple of questions answered first. if I feel the bod are working for the company and shareholders then I will support them and put my hand in my pocket. | wrighty46
13/4/2017 21:54 | I'd have £1000 worth if it meant continuation on LSE. TSX is messy for me and leaving me with stuff to sort that I could do without..... | neilyb675
13/4/2017 21:53 | I'll match your 4k. | wrighty46
13/4/2017 21:30 | It will cost more to organise than it will raise, imo. | casual47
13/4/2017 21:23 | TI, Before I ask Wells and May, I need to have some support from you guys !. | hguess16
13/4/2017 21:18 | ratfan I hope that your response from HL is the same as the one I posted at 14494. | rogsim
13/4/2017 21:02 | With all due respect it seems pretty clear that uk private investors are not very high up the tethys management's agenda. | ratfan
13/4/2017 20:59 | Interesting concept, maybe get in contact with Bill Wells and Ken May and see what they think. If he doesnt like the idea he must be up to something. | temporarily insane
13/4/2017 20:56 | On the HL website it clearly says you can invest in canadian shares in their share isa so hoping all will carry on as normal with them. I will investigate with them next week and report back. | ratfan
13/4/2017 20:54 | TO UK PI's currently holding Tethys shares ! Let us make an offer to Tethys "they cannot refuse"!. Tethys withdraws the delisting from the LSE ! UK PI's offer £100,000 to cover the cost of listing on the LSE Tethys offers 6.7m TETHYS new shares to those UK PI's willing to take up the offer from Tethys: at 1.5p per Share !!. current MARKET SP In other words it is similar to the Kumars offering to buy Tethys shares at 1.27p when Tethys was in trouble in Dec 2016. What do you think ?. Is this a flyer. Each shareholder forking out £1000 will receive 67,000 TPL shares. I am willing to risk a max of £4000 !. | hguess16
13/4/2017 20:00 | Goodwill eh hguess16, now you are getting the gyst as to why we are very angry with how we have all been treated especially after we all voted him in. | temporarily insane |
