Casual,
Thanks, I know that !.
Most of the UK brokers use NEX to trade their client shares.

The solution is to delist Tethys from the LSE and transfer to NEX.

Cost of listing on NEX is £5,000 initial cost
Annual Cost £6,500

NEX is in competition with the LSE and is keen on new client companies.

Nex is not a broker. You cannot trade directly on Nex, only via a broker. Which puts us in the same situation: UK brokers do not accept international share certificates to transfer shares into an electronic dealing account.

Redstone64,
A thought occurred to me about those UK investors who are in Limbo.
If Tethys still goes ahead with the delisting as planned and trades on TSX only,
why not see if you can talk to NEX, CEO Patrick Birley or his colleagues and ask them if it is possible to transfer your shares so that you could trade on NEX ?.
Have a look at the NEX website, The Alternative London Stock Exchange.
This is just an idea !.

Many thanks hguess16 for your work, this could prove invaluable for those of us who will have either in-flight transfers or elected for certificates. I'm waiting to see what happens to my transfers and fully expect the brokers to come back saying they don't know what to do when the delisting takes place if they don't make the deadline. We may well need to guide them so it will be good to have options.

Dorset,
It seems that Tethys had not considered an alternative to the LSE.

All this could have been avoided if they had first consulted with PI's .
Anyway, let us wait for the outcome of Clive Oliver's review !.

Casual,
My guess is that about 25m shares have been sold since the delisting RNS !.
I thought about the NEX alternative at the weekend having looked at their website and conditions of listing. Perhaps it is too late or maybe the idea may not work, but I felt that trading in London might be possible through NEX which has an electronic platform, but let's see what Clive Oliver comes up with his discussions with NEX staff.
Some UK brokers have been less than responsive and this has aggravated the problem.

I still feel that the current share price is way way below its real value based on its assets and the news about new drilling/mini-compressor plans.

Casual47, Wrighty46,Dorset64,
My recent contact with Clive Oliver has focused on how Tethys can help to resolve the
concern caused by the delisting decision.
I have suggested that they should consider contacting NEX, an alternative exchange
in Broad St, London who may be able to offer a cost effective solution and less red
tape. He has promised to get in touch with NEX and see what they can offer.
He is also contacting the Registrar in Canada to obtain more info on how this transfer
process could be made easier for UK holders to trade shares on CDS, the Canadian electronic settlement system.

He plans to come back with an answer !.

D64, nah sold them earlier today. I sold half on first day of delisting news.

I guess others have been offloading over the last few days.

If you wanna sell best do it before the Friday dump me thinks. Was hoping to hear some positive feedback from barclays or Oliver@TPL but thought it better to reduce now.

So those were yours a couple of days back then casual, and yep its been a bad investment for all of us to date & to different degrees.

I've still got around the 7 figure mark and will just hold onto them and see what happens as, with the share price where it is and with my holding in an ISA with TDW, I don't see any point in selling right now given my shares can be traded on the TSX, and hopefully we are approaching an era of drilling commencing and plenty of new news to come. I would not be selling right now imo and may even purchase some more if the sells drop the share price any further.

That said, if you cant hold or trade your shares in the future then you have no choice other than paper form.

No reply as yet, am in meetings today but will be on the phone in the morning. Will let you know when I've made contact. I think selling through an international broker is an option for paper certificates and from what I've found out the costs are around £100.

Well, this was a bad investment so far.

Sold a few more, now have 500K shares left, down from 2 million.

Ouch.

Wrighty -- did you get a response from oliver?

I emailed them with the replies I got from TD and AJ Bell (latter which Oliver had mentioned as a broker who will accept dealing in TSX, together with HL) and I asked for Oliver's feedback on how those of us holding in ISA/SIPPs with brokers who don't allow TSX shares can still trade electronically seeing as the transfer window given was too short to transfer electronically.

There are a few options to sell international paper share certificates via e.g. Redmayne-Bentley, Share Centre, Charles Stanley but it's not really something I look forward to.

Guys, we are shareholders, and all of us created this company too. Bill and his people take all decisions in company right now. Does he estimate the situation carefully? Everything is drearily. I'm sure the situation is on blind alley. All these courts.... declaring a lot... But what's in real? What to attain?
