Indeed. Swallow the price and sign up, enjoy the cheaper clubcard prices.

Likewise I too have a Nectar card, but do main shopping at Tesco, interspersed with the odd Waitrose shop for all the organic produce Tesco no longer does/suddenly stops doing.

Every decision/choice has a cost - an opportunity cost!!

It's simple John. You have to swallow your pride and sign up. That's a fact of life. I don't use Sainsbury much, but have a Nectar card. I use Tesco. If you want your freedom, you can have it, at a cost. Something like Brexit.Good luck to all.

The Great Supermarket Rip off:

Supermarkets forcing to customers to join loyalty schemes by hiking prices at double the rate of inflation

Britain's two biggest supermarkets, Tesco and Sainsbury’s, are hitting customers who don’t have loyalty cards with price hikes double the rate of food inflation.

Here's a laugh guys. I posted the Stockwell baked beans @ 28 p a can sometime ago. And they had an Aldi price match sticker.Today I bought a Bell's all steak pie. I knew I had beans in my cupboard, but thought just buy an extra can. They were 56p! But they still had an Aldi price match sticker! I declined to purchase.

This racket is nothing new , price goes up , item gets smaller.
As the money printing continues , to finance the mass migration folly
Inflation will continue to rise / skimpflation is exactly the same.
Interest rates will remain high !
The ultimate endgame is migrant induced Natiional Bankruptcy !
Don't worry Lefties you can blame it on Farage if you like .

What a reaction SS! Nobody is telling me anything. My judgement is what I posted. A simple statement of my strongly held opinion. Have a good weekend.

Helen .
The same people that are telling you interest rates have peaked and will start to fall in 2024 ?
Are the same people that told you that their inflation target was 2 per cent , they then set policy and kept it at around zero for 15 years .
The same people, that as inflation started, stated it would only be transitory ( about 6 months ) it would peak at 2 3/4 per cent and then fall back..
The same people that are telling you , interest rate rises are done and will start to be cut in 2024 .
The same people that continue to print staggering amounts of money, so they can be big hero's on the Global stage .
An example
Siemens maintenance arm for its windmills went bust .
Germany printed 16 billion ( 16,000 millions ) to bail it out .
Sunak recently announced the biggest ever offshore windmill site .
Sunak printed 1.3 billion ( 1300 millions ) in order to build it .
It's backdoor funding for the failed EU project .
The Trillions being printed ( 1000,000 million ) to fund the utterly staggering cost of the EU migration programme ( let's turn it brown , a quote of an EU mp )
Will constantly de value the money in circulation.
The people that the sleepy Whites listen too , will raise interests rates to curb the money printing, inflation.
The Sleepy White will pay .
Let them pay !

The continuing wage increases particularly in the Fat Cat Public sector will insure inflation remains high .
If.you couple that with the staggering amounts of money printing by the liblabcon to finance their people importing .
It can only mean high interest rates for at least another 3 years .
The sleepy whites ate going to financially suffer for their NIMBY stance .

A general investment account Helen. Basically a taxable trading account unlike a stocks and shares ISA. That particular one only had Tesco left in it so to take a good profit, shift the money to my SIPP and then forget about it made sense for me.

Got almost 290 this morning so am happy to take profit on some of my holding today.

Will think about adding on a 5p or so dip but for now am pleased just to take the funds out of an old GIA.

I still think this can run to 300 but like many it's never easy to cross those kind of barriers.

Good luck all 👍🏻

What you must remember all sentences are automatically halved .
So the prison term will be 1 year and 6 weeks.
I.m Afraid to inform you sleepy whites that these people will serve a maximum of one month in a mainstream prison .
The ikely hood is , that they will not serve any prison time .
They will be automatically released on license.
