A Dutch court ordered on Wednesday oil supermajor Shell to slash its carbon emissions by 45 percent by 2030 in a landmark ruling in a climate case brought by environmentalists that could set precedents for other oil companies.

Absolutely correct. Unfortunately either the political class hasnt considered this obvious problem, or, more disturbingly, they have and are factoring in there being far fewer consumers!!!

The scaremongering about gas is not really for this thread. But I think they would have to make considerable investment in the national grid and capacity before they ban gas heating. The grid as it is will not cope with EV charging for the masses let alone something like heating... an essential for life. Gas BTU's are less than half the cost of electric ones too!

Always check out the labels on meat to see if it is British before you buy, unlike Britain many countries have no restrictions on pumping farm animals with growth hormones..
