Frankly, I think the slight of hand consolidation/special dividend null gain situation served to hack off a lot of investors. It did for me. The writing was on the wall that the attempt to anchor the share price at 240 would fail.

"Looking odds on for a retrace back to 200 territory"

You just know if there is a market correction as lockdown comes to an end, nothing but nothing will stop this going below 200p. As it is the hot money is going into the recovery stocks like TUI et al. After the BS SD(return of Capital not SD) and the BoD pathetic attempt to anchor this around 2.40 to 2.50 range with their share consolidation that went awry. I am reminded of Canutes attempt to hold back the tide the market decides the price not the BoD. And the market sure has put the BoD firmly in their place !

Everyone should have got their dividend by now. Time to reinvest at these bargain prices. Also if you had drip set up the new shares were cheaper than then closing price so you should have more shares.

Recovery rate might be 99.6% but the one person i know who has had covid 3 months ago age 38 still suffers headaches ,brain fog and fatigue so recovery is not always 100%.just food for thought.

============= Amazon has landed in the UK as buywell predicted ===============

An 'Amazon Go' store is to open in Ealing London within a week

The Amazon Go store is a cashless queueless 'pick your items off the shelves' and Go concept which has been working in the USA since 2018

The concept uses AI and cameras to track purchases made ie picked up and imo seems ideal for quicker cleaner supermarket shopping in a pandemic or endemic situation.

Amazon have 30 such planning applications made for Amazon Go stores in the UK at the moment

One would imagine that other established Supermarkets will have to adapt or Go under

"Tell that to all the relatives of the under 40s who have died"

Healthy under 40's or vulnerable under 40's???

How many of those who have died are under 40?
Numbers please. Percentage of ALL deaths will suffice as well.
Then breakdown how many of those were vulnerable/co-morbidities versus those who were healthy.

Were these under 40's healthy or vulnerable (due to co-morbidities)
If they had co-morbidities then anyone with a brain would know they obviously be included in the elderly/vulnerable category(of all ages)

Didn't think I needed to specify something so obvious as everyone assumes vulnerable includes even those under 40 with co-morbidities.ie all age groups.

Facts still stand as I put them.

Recovery rate for anyone under 60 is 99.6%

Do we vaccinate anyone under 40 for flu each year?(Outside of those under 40 with co-morbidities making them vulnerable obviously)

NO.

"Infections have been highest in teenagers, students and people in their 20s and 30s in recent months"

Highest infection rate (IFR) and LOWEST CFR because of a recovery rate of 99.6% - only those with co-morbidites obviously would have a problem!!!

And clearly they are vulnerable, need vaccinating.

But the rest of the age group?

From the BBC website

Are different age groups being affected now?
There are more people of all ages in hospital with Covid now than in the first wave last spring - that includes the young and old.

Infections have been highest in teenagers, students and people in their 20s and 30s in recent months.

Also to stop mutations of a dangerous nature to all

Letting it run rampant in any age group, gives the virus the scope to mutate into something disastrous

Maybe something that only affects those under 60. Who knows

"Those who don't get the jab because they would rather believe misinformation on the web than solid facts are putting everyone and themselves at serious risk of death and are selfish"

Solid facts.
99.6% of people who catch it,survive it.
99.8% of those 40 and under experience only mild symptoms (similar to them only experiencing minor flu)

Do these people need the Vaccine? Or the flu jab?
No.
Indisputable facts.

The most vulnerable, yes, they need the vaccine. Just as they need the flu vaccine each year.

If one vaccinates the elderly and vulnerable how will they catch it from those who do not take the jab?

Anyone 40 and under isn't really putting themselves at much risk at all.

Stop scaremongering.

Probably as rhetorical as agreeing with those buying 240's, and asking me that low 22o's i guess

Any better questions? Like:

Do you still think it is bullish like at 240's lads?

Broker gave dividend on the new amount. Not on the original holding. Surprised at that calculation. Maybe we lost out by a bit more than we thought? Haven't checked the maths.
