24/12/2020 07:56 | Hard to get hold of the guardian - no sensible retailer stocks product that doesn't sell | joe say
23/12/2020 20:11 | I was thinking of the Guardian although its only improvement over the Mail is larger pages! ;-) | bountyhunter
23/12/2020 19:34 | The Daily Mail comes to mind! | konradpuss
23/12/2020 19:12 | That's about the only thing some newspapers are good for! | bountyhunter
23/12/2020 10:46 | So it in the 1970s ...when the media floated a potential sugar shortage due to failed crops in the West Indies. Those with warehouses full of sugar made a quick buck. Sensible marketing ploy 'possible shortages' ...if you want to 'clear the shelves'. ....The sheep won't need any encouragement to BUY , BUY , BUY!!! Astute move on the part of Tesco. | wendsworth
23/12/2020 10:10 | i dont understand this toilet roll thing ,when i was a kid money was always tight strips of newspaper was always a option as food came 1st. | nathdani
23/12/2020 07:57 | Imagine if there are food shortages.... What is the point of all that toilet paper???? | geckotheglorious
23/12/2020 06:41 | No problem with stock all shelves are full at my local Tesco and they are matching Aldi and Lidl on vegetable prices..never enough tills open at Aldi and Lidl..only fools queue to spend money.. .. Tesco tells shoppers they can only make three purchases of eggs, rice, soap and toilet roll amid fears that food shortages will run until after Christmas | johnwise
23/12/2020 00:28 | Tesco limits purchases of toilet roll, eggs, rice, soap and handwash | philanderer
21/12/2020 15:25 | UK grocery chains could benefit if Lidl & Aldi supply chains are disproportionately affected by Covid & Brexit? | bountyhunter
21/12/2020 15:18 | Didn't know that, learn something every day 🙂 Of course they did mess up in the US if I remember correctly, 'fresh and easy' wasn't it? Just checked, yes memory ok ;-) MRW also worth a look? | bountyhunter
21/12/2020 15:12 | bounthunter and CWA1 : I concur ...with all the comments! Could well prove to be the 2021 'recovery share'. | wendsworth
21/12/2020 14:59 | I'll ignore that lol ☺️ This is a buy and hold buffet style share in my view. Diversity in high quality high yielding shares with a consistent growth and dividend track record to avoid the devaluation of cash is the way to go now imho. May need to hold a while through volatile markets but the yield should underpin. | bountyhunter
21/12/2020 14:59 | Fools seldom differ though :-) | cwa1
21/12/2020 14:57 | Great minds think alike! 😀 | bountyhunter
21/12/2020 14:57 | bounthunter and CWA1 : Same here must be catching ! | wendsworth
21/12/2020 14:44 | Strangely enough, so have I | cwa1
21/12/2020 14:38 | I can't find a more defensive share out there given the current circumstances. Topped up. | bountyhunter
21/12/2020 12:04 | van and konrad : Sensible question and reasoned response. share price quite resilient despite today's general market falls. Points to fundamental value in the company ? | wendsworth |
